Actually, gaijin means "foreigner", literally "gai", outside, and "jin", person of that place. So an American is "Amerika-jin" (the spelling is correct and based on the katakana).

Sorry for being pedantic, but being a gaijin myself I don't consider myself a devil!

Oh, and it applies to blacks, chinese, indians and anyone not japanese. Just for the record.

Freak coincidence:

I'm lane hacking not far from FP4. A transport full of engine parts comes up and parks in front of the lane because the lane is down, so I scan him and head straight for him. Yes, he's hostile to me, as are his silly starflier escorts.

As my drome pulls up under him and I'm about to blast open his cargo containers:

"Ahh... this had better be worth it."

I've heard that line hundreds of times, but never with such perfect timing!

Funniest things I think(that i agree on), is when the Rogues said,

"What the Hell? I just lost one of my men!"in a worried voice
CAUSE I WAS VISIOUSLY DESTROYING ALL OF THEM!!!!!!! and the pussy was whining.

The other thing was when i was smuggling Cardamine to planet Kyushu and I was scanned by a Naval forces FEMALE. She said,
"Score! I found something...ok calm down and we can get through this, just hand over your cargo"
I was in the cornor of my ship, scratching myself naked sweating like a maniac.
NOOO NOT MY CARDAMINE!!! STAY AWAY!!!

Couple of secs later I blasted her in my pyschotic rage.

the funniset thing i've heard from an npc:

" Don't engage, they're just too tough right now" and then engaging me a second after in my fully loaded sabre. The fools

I had a wing of cops get into a scanning fest with each other.

3 of them just kept scanning the others, so for like a minute, all I was hearing is:
Cop 1 scanning cop 2 : I have orders to scan your cargo.
Cop2 to cop 1 : Gonna take a look at your cargo.

well whenever im carrying non illegal goods, i get scanned all the time, yet when im smuggling cardemine or artefacts, they never scan me

It wasn't funny, but really cool. I was at the Ronnenburg base in Omega 5(friendly with hessians, hostile with corsair) and two wings with corsairs attack. Suddenly I here a voice: "To all fighters, this is Ronnenburg Base. We have enemies on radar. Defend the base". Then I hear maybe 15 hessians replying: "Roger that. Engaging". "Copy that. Charging weapons." And the corsairs replies with a "RETREAT RETREAT!!!". Ahh.. the sky was red with Corsair blood that night.

"Has anyone heard of the Order?" coming from some pirate

Another was a Patriot scanning a liberty cruiser (i had the battleship encounter mod on) while a rhineland cruiser asked to scan the patriot and the liberty cruiser asked to scan the rhineland cruiser...then liberty attacking the rhineland cruiser...

crazy stuff

I find these quite amusing...
1) The slight pause the NPCs in the bars (particularly the women) leave before telling you who they work for: "Well I work...for [Insert corporation name here" - sounds like they've spent too much time in the bar to be honest...Liberty Ale has that effect sometimes, you know...
2) "I see my target...locking in on enemy" - nice of you to tell me, chum - arming lasers NOW!
3) Hailing a ship who is normally neutral to you, but has been forced to attack you by allies (the Liberty Rogues in my SP game, for example)...whilst shots from their guns are sizzling into your shields, they will coolly tell you to "Stop interrupting me, I'm in combat here" - you don't say...
4) "Stop daydreaming...out here it'll get us kill-KABOOM!" Oooops...did I slip on the keys? Terribly sorry old chap...Blooming goody-two-shoes police units *grinds teeth* What's wrong with smuggling illegal drugs...it never did anyone any harm, did it? Did it?!? *Gibbers*
5) Mission Commission (a daft name in itself): "Our scopes show the area clear of enemies" - so what are those three weapon platforms then? Scotch Mist?
6) "Freelancer alpha one-dash-one, everythings are go for launch" - last time I checked, ""everythings" was not in the English language anywhere!
7) Freelancer alpha one-dash-one, this is Kyoto..." Is it just me, or does the traffic controller at Kyoto sneeze the base-name rather than say it? I always want to say "bless you", for some reason...=OS

i was in a rather nasty firefight, lasted for 30 minutes, and right before i blew some red hessians fighter to dust, he confidently says ' no more enemy targets'
