I am working on the random mission at the moment.
I'll add the possibility to edit the nebulae and stars too.
At the moment, a lot of thing (like deleting or modifying) are not working even if adding is done.
I am trying to find the solution for each problem and once i can add all i want, i'll fix the edition problems.

i dunno about you people but the patrols work fine for me.. weird

The only complaint i have is the names, sometimes it decides to stop showing any tradelane names.

also how do you make it so when you head towards a tradelane to go from x->y, is shows that, and when going from y->x itll show that, with me it only shows the one i enetered as its nmae.

thanks for the info about the tradelane, i have found what was missing , i'll try to add it this week-end.
Yes the patrols can work, the only problem is that the toughness must have a particular value that depends on the faction you have selected.
I'll do a modification to the interface today so you can choose which level the patrol will be easily.

I have fixed a couple of bugs too in the new pan/zoom system.
So expect a new version this evening.

Hi guys, great news , the patrols are fixed... sort of.
In fact there is ony certain values for toughness that are valid (as far as i know).
So i changed the interface to make visible only the valid combinations.

And it seems to work fine.
I had some unsuccessful attempt with the random missions so far.
Any info is welcome (the one i have found so far does not seem to be really valid).

I have also fixed some problems with the zoom and the update of the freelancer.ini. Plus some other minor bugs.

I have a problem with lauching the program. I copy the containings of the zip in the EXE directory and when i want to lauch it, the two first Yes/No questions show but ever things i do, it says "Freelancer not found !! EXITING..." after i made my choice.... I think i'm cumbersome with this question but please help me. Thanx

This problem happens when the program cannot find the freelancer regkey in the registry (i am checking the appPath ).
I have modified the code to check also the current directory so in the next version you should not have this problem.

Thanx a lot ! It work now but there are few things i want you to know :
- when you add a docking ring to a planet and want to edit it after, you won't be able to because you'll have to put a loadout and there is no docking ring in the loadouts.
- you should put the elipsoid shape for the debris field.
- when you push the [escape keyboard key when editind/adding a system, it simply close without "caution window" the window and the system you were working in will be lost.
- i don't understand the trade lane system.
- maybe (if you can) a longer sise of the rolling menus for a easier use will be welcomed.

That was all my first impressions. Hope this will help.

Thanks Archangel,
the edition of a docking ring is indeed not working properly, i'll fix it soon.
There is an ellipsoid for the debris field In fact , i need to change the code but the losange shape is in fact an ellipsoid ;-).
I'll add a message box asking to confirm before exiting when some modifications have been done. good idea.
The tradelane is quite simple , you click once to put the start , move the mouse and click another time to set the end.
I am currently fixing the tradelane , there was some information missing (incorrect names were displayed in one of the direction ).
No problem , i'll make the list longer.

Archangel, there was a bug in the tradelane edition code. It wasnt working anymore. It's fixed and it's the 4th version for today.

The message box has been added, the lists are now longer.
And the names displayed when using the tradelane during the game should be correct now.

The highest props and kudos I could provide for your outstanding work.

I see how to make things but editing things like zones seems to evade me. Is it only possible to add things (other than bases) not edit them?

I believe I have found a few problems in the latest version. (Actually its probably about 7 versions away now)

First, sometimes when I try to place a Jumphole (all i have seen it with so far) it appears nowhere near where I wanted it to.

Second, some of the zones dont appear on the map on the system ed.

Now in the latest version you cant add Jump gates to the Trade Lanes destination names can you :-?

Oh and how about being able to change a systems properties? (Or delete it)

Yes at the moment only some things have the edit option. I am planning to add it on the others as quickly as possible but i am trying to know how to add all possible objects first and then starting to improve the editor itself.
So from time to time an new object will be editable.

It's quite possible that one of the version with the code for the new zoom was not working properly (i have seen that too), i made a fix recently and i hope that it's solving this problem.
Correct some zones don't appear, i'll fix it too.
For the tradelane name, i simply forgot the jumpgate Thanks for reminding me.
Editing the system properties is in the list of todo as deleting a system (this one will have to wait a little cos it's a little bit more complex from the path point of view).

Couple more things, I made a system but the name of the system and a base in the system was just blank. The name of the star worked.

And it might just be me using my go very fast mods but the sun corona doesnt want to kill me.
