I have one simple question. What does in mean "Cannot save ini file"?. It comes up after I make a change and try to apply them. When I press OK it says "Changes Applied". Needless to say I'm not able to see any changes when I start the game.
I did as the readme says dumped everything into the EXE directory. This has got me stumped.
Thanks for any help

I've tested your universe creator, I only have one problem, I cant save....
I wanted to create a new mod had to select the folder in wich it was located in.
(in my case freelancer/exe) but he said he couldnt find the empty_recources.dll and he crashed. However, my empty_recources.dll was in freelancer/exe.
What can I do about this?
sorry for my bad english.

Hello.
I found a bug in my li01.ini. Everywhere it suposed to be a blank line (don't know how to say it in english ), there is " = 0". I think there is a link with your tool cause, early, i remove all moded files and then mod the new-york system*. Maybe it isn't your tool but this is the only one program i use !
*Maybe there is an other error (also maybe in realtion with the first). With your latest version, i never succeed to save. It crash and make no response.
I succeed to make a patrol before your answer ! Sorry ! I talked too fast !
How do you make trade lane zone (the pink one)?

Hello
I'm sorry apparently I'm missing something. I downloaded the latest version today, and my "Can't save ini file" went away, which is good. But I'm still not able to see any changes I made. I have the Mod manager installed. I started a new game with "NoStory Mod" and my mod activated. The "NoStory Mod" works; mine does not.
Can someone please give my a detailed step by step, Making a real simple mod (like add a depot), intalling the mod, and then playing it. And maybe how to distubute it. I know this is asking a lot, but I think it would help a lot of newbe's like myself.
Thanks
Beowolf

Ok, Everthing works good...though I wish I can put in a nebula, and able to add the space inside the nebula that you can see everything. The one thing I see is when I try to add a jumpgate, it doesn't show up ingame. I can have jump holes all day long, but jumpgates won't appear.
Oh yeah, another thing. How can you place an object in a game and change the elevation?

sealnova, i have just posted a new version. can you try it?
Since i have no idea what could be wrong in your case, i have fixed other stuff that could cause trouble in some weird cases.
MLEdele, you can add nebula (see field, it's now part of the list of templates : field, nebula and clouds ).
The exclusion zone is buggy tough, i don't add it in the field/nebula file yet some it's not working (you can do it by hand). I'll fix it later.
beowolf, I am preparing a manual for the tool. I hope to have it ready soon.
But for now, here is my advice.
Install the game in default path a <letter>:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer ...
install Freelancer Mod Manager in a default path too <letter>:\Program files\Freelancer Mod Manager.
Make sure no mod is activated before launching the explorer.
Launch the explorer and add what you want.
When finished select save a new mod in the menu
It should display the correct path for FLMM.
Click on new folder and type the name of the mod you want to create.
Validate, click ok.
This should produce a mod, with a dll inside and a DATA directory containing all the files you changed/created.
Quit the explorer.
Launch FLMM and activate the mod.
Test it.
Deactivate the mod.
Launch the explorer and select NO at the first question, and Yes at the second
choose your mod and continue the edition....and so on
Hope this help to clarify the procedure
