Hi Oddball,
how about shooting Federal Spec. Forces "before" going to 70 Ophuici ?!
That might be the easier way
Just go for some Long Range Missions against Federal Spec. Forces installations
and shoot there as many Federal Spec. Forces as you want/can.
After a while you'll get friendly to the Imperial Spec. Forces automatically,
and you can gain some very nice equipment too when blowing up this
Special Forces installations - same to the Imperial Spec. Forces installations.
After you did so you will be welcome at any Imperial Spec. Forces station in
70 Ophuici.

Dear Mace,
thanx for this "hint" - maybe I should next time "talk" to the stations people
before shooting them
Ok, I'll give it a try and watch out for people in Van Maanens Star system
who have to say something (or at least believe that they have to).
Meanwhile I got hostile with almost all pirate factions, I just shot them
randomly and after a while ...
Yours
Kuvacz
PS: Ok, I got the deal, but- even when the Valerians are friednly (bribed)
to me I can't dock at planet Carinea in Omicron Alpha because this stupid
thing of a dockingring sees me as an enemy even when the planet itself
is green ?! Any idea how to continue your challenge ?
Before I also visited the Old Abandoned Mining Base in Tau-UV.
Btw. I found another bug
Tau-UV - Old Abandoned Mining Base > Discription for Rapier HF is wrong
The discription says that it can have class 10 weapons at max, if you
buy the ship it only shows 2x class 7, 2x class 8, 2x class 9 and 1x class 8 turret.
Reputation problem with the Zoners:
My reputation to all allies of the Zoners and their allies is maxed out (except the
Ducani Explorers, they're neutral) but I'm still completely red to them even when
i never shot a Zoner - any idea how to get them friednly again ?

WTF!!! I'm away for a couple of days and 3 pages appear.
@ Mace, I've spent an hour looking at the missing hardpoint errors, this is going to be a long and tedious job bud. I'm having to cross reference npcships.ini, all ship loadout ini's, the shiparch and the CMP files. I've already found one CMP I've had to alter to remove duplicate hardpoints, 3 of the shiparch entries have had minor tweeks to match Hp names with the CMP, 2 dozen loadouts have been altered to either rename a Hp name or remove the equipment altogether, I just hope I don't have any archetype conflicts to fix.
Something I've noticed is that none of the reworked vanilla ships I've checked have been cloned, they all appear to have been imported into MS3D, reskinned and exported as a new CMP & MAT. It means that none of them will have destructable parts in the mesh (you don't lose wings etc), if their all like this then you can remove the extra collisiongroups from the shiparch.ini as well as the simple's.
As you've already found out the exe numbers 0.01 - 0.09 don't work, it has something to do with the .0 not registering. Try going for 0.70 - 0.79 or 0.90 - 0.99 instead or you can borrow 1 or 2 of mine as my mods on hold atm (not enough free time).
@ OddBall, what ships are you useing when your losing equipment as this is more likely to be the ships rather than the base/system that's causing the problem.
@ EUUR, try not to double post bud, use the edit funtion, this'll stop the moderators from telling you off if they have a look in this thread.
**shuffles of with a new headache**

@OddBall0613, Actually the special ops do not react very strongly to those attacking their enemies. Only the opposite special forces. All of the reaction amounts will be a little increased for the next version. It is a bit low. Its just tricky when they respond heavier to you killing them, you need to reduce the empathy.
@RippeR, I've done quite a few. The shiparch simple entries are done and about 30 minor tweaks. I'd rather not post all of my changes on the topic, its already pretty long.
@kuvacz, You do find that if you go around attacking everybody, after a while everybody will hate you. Can't say i blame them. You need to pick a character for you game and try to stick with it. Last thing you want is to end up without places to dock in the more difficult regions. And, its a hell of a lot harder gaining rep than losing it..
Carinea, there is a problem with the docking ring. It means that nobody can play through the quest with the current version. To fix:
01. Open up:universe/systems/hi01/hi01.ini
02. Search for:nickname = Hi01_02_dock_ring
03. Change the reputation to fr_quest1_grp
04. Save
@Bejaymac, I did run into some problems with Hardcmp where it was creating double hardpoints for things like HpCloak used for the ship upgrades. The modified versions of the original ships are indeed without destroyable components. I have tried using modelcloner in the past and ended up with a mess. I'm going to have another go for the ship icons anyway. It be put into my would-be-nice list. The ships themselves don't have either collision boxes or simple entries.
Oh, no the archetype entries should be ok. Each one has its own mat file and archetype names. Except the icons where i just used existing icons and renamed the file. There is a known bug where you sometimes see the wrong image for the conflicting image names, but it shouldn't cause any problems other than being a bit crap.
For the version number, i think i'm going to end up with an awkward one like 14.1 or something. I don't honestly care what number i give it, just as long as its unique. Cheers for your offer about using your ones.

Kuvacz,
Makes no difference who I kill. My rep with both forces doesn't change. Not too worried concerned 70 Ophuici anyways. Just cruising and exploring with my Anubis Custom...and trying to figure out how to get into Van Maanen's Star.
Bejaymac,
Never occurred to me that it may be a ship problem. It's happened with the Valkyrie, Phantom Interceptor and the Anubis Custom.
Mace,
I went on a killing spree blowing away as many Fed. Spec. Forces as I could find. Loaded my save game, went on a killing spree blowing away Imp. Spec. Forces. Didn't make a difference either way as far as my rep went.

@OddBall,
maybe you've got the same problem with the Special Forces reputation
as I got with the Zoners.
When I wanted the Imperial Special Forces to be friendly I just flew to
a installation of the Federeal Special Forces and stayed there blowing up
Federal Special Forces ships till I had my reputation with the Imperial Special
Forces maxed out.
I t took me about 1 hour to get my reputation from absolutely red to absolutely
green.
In my case I flew to Miogre - Anniston Military Supply Depot (sector B3), the
Federal Special Forces patrol respawn every couple minutes so you won't get
out off enemies
Just kill a hundred +/- off em and you'll certainly be maxed out with the
Imperial Special Forces - a couple off "regular" Federal Navy ships will also be
around, so prepare to also mess up your reputation with the Federation as well.
But that ain't a big deal, just kill some more Pirates and they love you again
Good Luck

Hi Mace,
thanks again for your good advice and support, I'll try that fix right away.
But, what about the Zoners ?
Any idea how to get them friendly again ? I really don't want to start this mod
for the sixth' time again, not for now
Cause when you've played a mod for more than 200 hours within a couple of
days even a mod like yours starts to get a bit boring if you will have to do it
all again till a certain level
And, I know that I shouldn't mess up all of my reputations I just decided to
mess up my pirate reps - but all of this doesn't help me with the Zoners,
something must be wrong with their reputation files cause I did nothing to
make them hate me, not on purpose.
Can't you just tell me what INI-File I have to modify to have them green, at
least neutral again ? PLEASE !

@Richard w. sabatino, nice pic, looks like you're keeping busy
@kuvacz, the file that controls the reaction is missions/empathy.ini. This has entries so that for every change of other factions it affects groups. For the Zoners, these are the entries (simplified):
Xenos, 0.05
Hackers, 0.025
Unioners, 0.05
GMG, 0.050000
(Story faction, whoops), 0.05
IMG, 0.1
Bounty Hunters, 0.025
Federation, 0.05
Imperial Navy, -0.05
Ind Gas Co, 0.08
Fr Police, 0.05
Duchani, 0.05
Eastern Coalition (collective), 0.05
Nomads, -0.05
So, the best group to get in with is IMG. Some of the entries are a bit dubious, I'll remove a couple for the next version and go through the others.
To actually change you current saved game, it isn't an ini, instead you'll need the saved game editor. Remember to back up the saved games first and edit gd_z_grp.
Cheers for the interest guys.

WARNING! SPOILERS INVOLVING THE WORLD MAP!
I got DataStorm to work, I just had to let it crunch numbers for a bit. Anywho, this is the worldmap in all its offscreen wonders. (I couldn't figure out how to remove the background, ah well)
These two maps are useful to me, so I'd thought I would share. Mace's map is great, don't get me wrong, but I like seeing what to look for when I try to move from system to system.
Key:
Blue lines are tradelanes
Solid white lines are jump gate paths
Dotted grayish lines are jump hole paths
So, the fastest route would be to use a path containing only tradelanes and jump gates. *shrugs* Take a look.
1280 x 1024:
416 KB: Comprehensive map (kind of difficult to comprehend)
381 KB: Jump hole routes only
Open those in a new window, then refresh the image (F5 or the cool green arrows button). FileLodge has no bandwidth limitations (in exchange for obnoxious linking rituals), so feel free to post those things anywhere.

@Blank, looking good, there are a few systems at the very top and bottom right corner that are not actually game playable. The bottom right ones are my testing systems and an arena type thing i was working on.
The top systems i decided not to go with. I make use them for something inanother version. Either way, there's nothing there.
I'll add a link to both of these on the topic.

Hi Mace,
thanks a lot for your help, it worked fine and I'm neutral to the Zoners again
Here some more errors I found:
Andromeda - Warrington Base > crash on docking
Wolf-359 - Camp Lincoln - Wrong Long Rang Payout Discription
Shadow Nemesis VHF - something is wrong with the upgrade slots
The ship shows me eight slots, but I can only mount two visible upgrades,
even if I can buy a lot more, but if I do so the game crashes, it crashes
even when I just want to unmount the two visible upgrades and replace
them buy others. But 'Im sure youalready knew this.
(I just couldn't stand to max out my shadows reputation since I saw that
screenshot with the Nemesis. simply wanted to try out this ship by myself
- mean thing this ship, but there are too many buts - I think I'll get rid of it
and reset my shadows reputation to -0,9 again just like it should be )
