The Stormfire was only in 1 game IIRC, and of the ships that are in the mod, only 1 used them, and only as an alternate weapon.

Actually in two games, it was in WCP *cough sucks cough* to.

The way that I've got the shields/weapons setup, the Stormfire would be useless.
1) The shields regenerate to fast...
2) Without energy damage, the weapon won't affect the target in any way.

If there is will then there is a way. Btw in Priv the shields didn’t regen that fast. The Chain Gun template can be used, it’s a matter of balance I think.


As to the Kilrathi...
They are replacing the Outcasts, and the Corsairs.
As to digressing to FL mode, we ARE trying to make a Privateer mod, and that's not how Privateer does things.

No no, no LoL you misunderstood me, what I meant was that there could be two Kilrathi factions’ government and pirates(milita and pirates). One neutral and the other hostile.

Bob: I have a model of the shaman in ms3d but it needs to be textured and i cant since my milkshape has expired...can u do this for me?

Warzog: In Chips' evolutions mod (correct me if i'm wrong) the nomads are taking over the entire section, cant u make the kilrathi do the same...and u can join up with the kilrathi -by killing hundreds of confeds and other humans, especially capital ships matter- and conquer sirius, or the humans/confeds -where u are allyd with from the start- and defend sirius from the kilrathi?

AFAIK there is no way to say FL that one unit "counts" more than another.
so it doesnt matter if you destroy 1 cargo pod or 1 battleship...

if there is a way to actually define different values, i would very much like to know this

BUT...
You can change how much such destruction means to each faction.
In the current mod...
since so many asked for it...
Getting the Kilrathi to like you will take an awful lot of destruction!!!

I don't think the Freelancer engine supports dynamic combat universes.

I've got the mod working without the Gemini Sector.
Don't know what's wrong with Gemini...
I've got a few ideas left, but only a few.
We'll see...

I tried 3 times to download that, but it stops about 3/4ths of the way through, each time.
IIRC, his coding is a bit wierd, and doesn't he write his own DLL's?
(I can't do that.)

Depends...
I still need to run through it once.
And I haven't completely given up on Gemini, yet.

Update:
I finally got into Perry...
But after that, it crashes when I leave.
Perry had a couple of wrecks that were causing that problem.
But the other systems don't have wrecks.
Only things they have in common are Nebulae, and Asteroids.
I'm gonna look at those next.

Well, thanks to Dark Dragon, I don't have to.
Dark Dragon just posted a tutorial on how to use a program called Freelancer Explorer.
Near as I can figure, someone wrote it to help people create new systems.
Chips, and some others, have expanded it a bit.
And as I figured, it writes a DLL that allows the new systems to work.
Which is why I've been having problems...
No DLL!
and...
I don't know how to write one!
So...
With any luck...
and a lot of rewriting of all of Gemini's new systems...
I should be able to get Gemini working after all!!!

Also...
I just got a Galaxy from BoH Havoc.
Unfortunately, it's got the same problem that the Demon has!!
You can see it when you pilot it, but it's invisible at range!
(And NOOOO it's not the LODranges!!!)

well i think it doesn't look better...
i tried to keep it low poly because i don't want it to solw don't fl that much

but don't burst in tears, beause my galaxy may have less polys/details. You can definitely identify it as a galaxy and that's what's counting ... and i heard that an other person started modeling a galaxy,too... maybe it'll look better than mine

btw: i think this is a pre-rendered shot. I know it's taken from a mod for vegastrike, but the vegastrike engine can't handel that much polys ( imo ).
