Ok, I have the most recent version and it works fine, except for the bases. I have a system with 2 planets and 1 station, hence 3 bases total. My problem is that they either all use the base settings for the last base that I've set up (ie, set up the two planets, then the station and they all use the station's settings) or they just give me a black screen. I suspect this is a problem with FLE since when I do it manually it works fine, but that takes way too long and I'm really hoping to be able to do it through your wonderful program. Is there a workaround? Is it even a known bug?

Well, sorry it took so long to get back. Thanks for the reply. I only get in here about once a week, so my replies will be slow in coming.
I see that I am not the only one with multiple drives and multiple operating systems. I was no tech when I bought my current machine. I had the shop tech install my system and he did a really lousy job of it. If you can envision this, my WinXP operating system in installed on TWO physically separate drives. The XP installed integrated my old win98 o/s (which I just wanted to be rid of) into the current XP installation. Losing the old drive at this point would just wipe out my o/s. Losing one of the new raid drives would also wipe out the O/S.
So the TEMP folder is a bit of a mystery. There is one on drive C and one on drive D. Drive D is my XP operating system, and it should be using the D:\temp folder.
My question at this point is "does FE use C:\Temp only? Or is it set up to read the location of the system's temp folder?" The answer to that would tell me where the system expects to find the temp folder, and I could then make adjustments.
Sorry about the problem. It is obviously not FE that is the problem, but my horrible o/s installation. I should really take the computer back and shove the whole thing down that tech's big mouth!
"If you want something done right, do it yourself!"
Thanks in advance gentlemen!

When I installed??? Oh... I don't know. I installed two years before (2003). else: I have got new problems... i worked one week on my new mod with my FLEE, but when I added the last system the names are lost and I tried with anything, but the names are "invisible" again. So my one week work is lost too. and .
else: How can I rotate the Jump Gates?
again else: How can I use the FLEE on XP without installing Freelancer.
I have got one more question: When I add a character to a planet or a base in the FLEE, the characters are didn't sit in the bar!! WHY??!! and how can i change the debris on the nav map when I created an asteroid field? and How can i fill the full system with a cloud or a field? THANX THE HELP. I really happy!!

Louva-Deus: Hmm - doesn't seem to be anyone here anymore. If you are still around, can you please answer my question (from my previous post): Does Freelancer Explorer use the system default temp (regardless of where it is) of does it conduct its own search for the temp folder by backing up the directory tree? In other words, does it only use a LOCAL drive temp folder?
If that is so, I have a problem. I haven't found any way to change the default temp folder (which is on my C Drive, while the game is installed on the D drive) The temp folder is NOT read-only, it just isn't on the LOCAL drive (local to the game).
I have WinXP, which doesn't use autoexec.bat. Instead it uses the boot.ini - and I don't know the format or syntax for the boot.ini file.
But it would help just knowing whether or not Freelancer Explorer can use the temp folder on other drives. I kind of have my doubts because my temp folder IS there on drive C. I can rename it, and I can add and delete stuff inside of it. So it obviously isn't read only.
Reply if you can, and thanks in advance...

Dj Geri: When you set up a base in Freelancer Explorer, one of the very first items of information is the ROTATION factor. There are three small boxes for information, and those are x,y and z axis rotations. You will most likely want to use the center box. That will rotate the station, leaving it flat on plane of the solar system; the other two boxes alter the horizontal aspect of the station so that it is no long "level" with the rest of your system.
If you have already placed the station, then move your mouse cursor over the station and right click and select "edit" to change the rotation factor.
Good luck with your mod.

Nouka: The Patrol button is a bit strange. You click the button, and then you click on the map where you want the patrol to start. You will then have a red line that will stretch and follow your mouse cursor. Each time you click, you set a new point for your patrol to go to. When you have a complete circuit and want to end the patrol, you DOUBLE-CLICK the left mouse button. This will bring up the Patrol properties box. Fill it out and then click okay. Done!
Louva-Deus: I have confirmed my suspicions about FLE. I found where the system environment variables are, and how to access and edit them. I changed my temp directory to C:\Temp and I STILL get that "cannot find C:\Temp" error from FLE.
So FLE does NOT use the system's selected temp folder, or it simply cannot cross over to use another drive.
I can tell you right now that a LOT of people use multi-drive systems and put their games on either D, E or even F drive. This inability of FLE to use other than the local temp folder, and also the inability to use anything other than "C:\Temp" makes the FLE tool pretty useless. And it is useless to a LOT of people. My system doesn't normall use C:\Temp at all. My default setup (which is the XP default setup) is "?:\Windows\Temp" Where "?"=the drive the operating system is installed to. My C drive is old and slow, so I installed the o/s to my very fast D drive, making it "D:\Windows\Temp"
For varying reasons, not everyone is set up to use "C:\Temp" and FLE needs to be able to use and find other temp folder locations.
Until that time, I won't be using FLE at all. It's pretty useless to build a system when none of the names or infocards are stored.

This problem should be fixed in the new version. Personally I have the game installed on D and FLExplorer installed on C and no c:\temp folder whatsoever and it works perfect.

Ok, I know I've asked this before, but has anyone seen the following bug? I've set up a system with 2 planets and 1 station, hence 3 bases total. Anyone at all? Or is my computer just being stupid?
