fangmans, i suppose that it's a bug with this version.. Sorry about that.

Archangel, i have strictly no idea why the game is crashing in some cases with the patrol. So until i figure it out or someone is telling me what i am doing wrong, it will not work properly.

Scott, are you creating a mod, the best way to test it is to create a mod, then see if a dll has been created in the mod directory. If there is no dll there then something wrong has happened and you should have seen a message box reporting a problem. Yes make sure that the paths are correct in the FLE.ini

At the moment, i am trying to fix the dll problem for the xml (rumors, infocards etc..) It should be working but it's not. So it might take a while before the next version...

I have the same problem.. a few versions ago... it wasn't refereincing the IDS string in the univers.ini of anything new.... it was creating everything else... but not the name string.

ALSO:

I was messing around with base creation, and I tried one of the cargo depot's or something and when I tested it, the game crashed and siad something about "no valid cargo pod for hardpoint cargo01" etc...

I'm gonna try the newest version of the editor later.

ALSO:

Used to be the editor would keep adding the reference to the mod dll in freelancer.ini so after a few revisions, I had around 6 or 7 references to the dll in the freelancer.ini... it was rather odd...

when i place patrols which are eliedgeable for a mission,zone population ring and mission targets as well as NPC's to talk to in a base but yet they offer NO missions...y?

I've tested the low memory version, it works great.
Just a little remark, the scroll bar aside of the system info in the universe view doesn't work.
An other, patrols appears as patrols and as zones. What i mean is that when you make patrols unvisible and zone visible, you see patrols in blue, like they're zone (i know they're but they shouldn't appear as zone).

to anyone :
Have you already make clouds or asteroids field ?
Cause i think my field/cloud zones don't works as they're suposed to do (i think) : it makes the game crashing when it load the system in FL.

I managed to create an asteroid field, problem was even tho it appeared in space, it didnt show on my nav map.

I think this is possably caused by an incorrect "visit" value in the zone when the zone was created...i don't know...

Salamander, i am afraid that it's probably not so simple. I tried to modify manually the visit value of one of my cloud and nothing changed.
Whatever the value i put , the cloud is not visible on the map...

There is definitively something wrong in the code i generate but i can't find what.

Personaly, i prefer make my clouds/asteroids myself. The last i've done, a mine field, works perfectly but i made my exclusion with your tool without any trouble.
That's the only thing i won't do with your app cause others are to complicate or i never be able to do them. Until clous/asteroids won't be more stable, i'll keep make them by myself.
Don't take it as an agression, just as a compliment !

I've verified, my problem came from clouds/asteroids cause i've deleted all i've made with your app and.... IT WORKS !!! How much cool it is ! Now, i will be able to find the problem and to help you to fix it.

I'd would do it myself, but since FLE uses uncompressed files, it would be more of a hassle if i did it that way.

Send the code for a working asteroid field to shsan and maybe that will help to find the problem
