Alot of troubles with battleships come from when you have to actually move them. Battleships getting stuck in tradelanes, etc.

I read in the forum a mod for increasing your cruse speed. Since a battleship will more than likely have it's own "warp" engine would there be a procedure where you can simply set it's cruse speed the same as a tradelane? Say around 1000-1500 should be right. I know there are mods available to make that speed change but it applies it to every ship in the game. How much trouble would it be to actually make the edit to the INI's so your cap ship needs no tradelane?

A simple but unrealistic way of giving warp speed to the battleship would be to increase the engine thrust and increasing the drag by 1/10th the amount of the thrust. That way you can accelerate to as fast as you want. Just watch out for slowing down.

I've been having the same problems with the Dreadnought getting stuck in the moor, and I can't dock with tradelanes either. Also, is there any way to change the controls of the ship to something along the lines of a Rhino? Btw, if there's any updated files with the moor changes and other up to date things, please email me

Unless i'm mistaken, didn't i send you the files for it not to long ago? If you want rhino type agility, just follow the tips i gave you earlier and copy the rhino maneuverbility stats over.

Wanderer, could you look it over and see if it needs any tweaking? The equipment shop has some variations of some of the turrets that you might need to modify/remove.

Yeah, I managed to get the mod working great, with some tweaking in the controls. One problem I've had from the start is the shield hardport isn't available in the ship. I saw this problem before in this thread, and added the file left out of the files you sent me. However the shield hardport still isn't in the game, so I might have edited it wrong. Any thoughts?

If i sent you the correct files, it should also have included a specially modified cmp file of the dreadnought. If its there, not only should you have an extra beam turret, you should have TWO shield hardpoints.

I'll take a look at the file IGx89. On a side note, could you send me and email detailing the extras you have done. That way i'll save time on checking it.

Modified cmp. file? I don't know, the Battleship shield is for sale at Manhattan, but there's no hardpoint. I don't understand, could you send me the file with the hardpoint, or possibly just what lines I'm supposed to add in?

And is there any way to dock with smaller stations? My battleship just cuts its engines after flying into an odd position.

Not sure, haven't heard of this kind of problem before. Try using other mods and see what happens. Is this multiplayer or SP by the way. If its MP it could be because the server doesn't have the mod but if that was the case you shouldn't have been able to lift of at all.

what does the morring do i tryed it but i couldnt undock or go into the station.why is this?

Mooring is supposed to let you dock with stations using their moors rather than the too small berths. If you have problems, its probably because you haven't changed all the mooring distances for the large moors as specified. If you have, email me and i will send the solararch i have.
