I downloaded the FLMM file from Legend's website, activated the mod and headed to Manhatten. Got the dreadnaught, and when i was lifting off, I got cought in the docking rings.. Tried everything to get out.. And when I right clicked the mouse to see the new weapons, it sent me to the desk top.. Also.. When I talk to people, thier picture doesnt come up anymore in the box.. All it shows now is the 'radio tower' con..

YoheiCat.. you need to download another file called ghostdockingring.zip.flmod.. then you just click it and it will automatically install this new mod to your fl manager(if you have installed the fl manager).. after that, you will have to activate it like the battleship mod.. and there you are, no more problem leaving the planet... about the other, i'm not sure.

Here it crashes also. I reinstalled it two times one time i entered everything manually the other try i used the mod installer. But the game goes back to the desktop when i try to fire the flak cannons. everything else just works fine.

Re Mooring...
err it dun work ...
after modding the required files, I still cannot get my osiris class battleship to moor, well it tries, but all that happens at a station is that it docks... and sits there... DOCKING... for ever , any ideas guys?

Re More Mooring..

On another note.. would it not be simpler to make the battleships dock at a large mooring? This would mean you could only dock at staions that have large moorings of course... but hey .. IT IS A BIG SHIP

OK for mooring, when it begins the sequence you MUST press ESC to skip it or the game crashes. As for the beam guns which are called flak turrets since i didn't mess in the dll, if they still do not work, use the other weapons that i've posted on the updated tutorial. There should at least be a cheaper flak gun which does what it says. If you really want beam weapons and this doesn't allow for it, check out the beam weapon tutorial around here somewhere. Mine are more or less the same. I have no idea why its not working for you.

Everytime I try to take off from Manhattan in the dreadnought the game just crashes to the desktop. I have followed the directions twice (deleting my previous attempt before trying the second). When that didn't work I deleted all the changes and tried the FLMM script but I got an error message.

"Error: problem activating 'Liberty Dreadnought With Cap Ship Moor Fix'

This was only the test run, so no files were changed (besides being decompressed)"

But when I tried to active the mod while I had already manually made the changes it did active, though I once again received the crash problem. Oh well.

Khaos, where did you recieve crashes when you inputted the mod manually? If its on firing weapons, i suggest selling the original beam turrets (although their called flak turrets) and buying the cheaper actual flak turrets. If its on running the game, did you remove your savegames?

As soon as I launch into space with the Dreadnought it crashes, right after it would have finished loading. I did remove my saved games.

Actually you dont have to press ESC at the sequence, at least not for me, it slowly flys above the station ( or below if its one like fort bush ) and loads to the station.

If these people downloaded the mod from that one guys web site ( sry forgot the name ) then the beam effects and effects files are not there

If anyone has problems, please email me and i will send the files that i used. If you see any problems there, please tell me about it and i will correct the tutorial.

hmm all you guys having troubles with your cap ships... well okay so ive only got an osiris class dreadnaught that works... sorta... and docks if i manually nose up to the berth and hit F3 again... but so far ive had no crashes... no problems apart from the occasional episode getting stuck in a trade lane.. but hey its all good for sh*ts and giggles

This mod is for the Liberty Dreadnought not the Osiris. The Osiris is in the realistic battleship mod which is the sticky post. This ones not and some people are experiencing problems and i'm doing the best i can to solve it.

Thanks for the files Wanderer! i tried out the dreadnought and it is really great. Just a couple of points:
1. The steering is unrealistic
2. its max speed is only 29.
3. Is there a better interior than the liberty frieghter?


Nothing major. I am sure you have already fixed these problems but i just thought you shold know. Great work!

Hey i love the manuevering ability of the dreadnaught it doesnt take 10 mins to turn a 360 turn like the realistic battle ship does.

This way it can moor easier and wont get stuck in a trade lane or when going through an asteroid field at cruise and hit an asteriod it doesnt take forever to get back on course
