The sound fix worked for me with WinXP. Thanks a million!

The only tricky part came after I set the Fraunhofer codec to Priority 1. The check box for "Use this codec" WAS checked but when I OKed everything, the sound didn't work - in fact, there was no sound! When I went back to the Audio Codecs and double-checked the Fraunhofer codec, it had, for some reason, reset itself to "Do NOT use this codec." I re-checked the appropriate box and voila! Perfection!

Beware the mysterious checkbox demon! If the fix doesn't work for you the first time, check your Fraunhofer properties again! Cheers!

The thing that worked for me is this:

1) Open the cd
2) Open the map "REDIST"
3) Open The File "WMFDIST.EXE" With your Winrar (or other packing program)
And extract the file "L3CODECA.ACM" to "C:\Windows\system32\" !!!NOTE!!! this is my OS location... Maby yours is diferent.

All sounds are back (even in the main menu)

The only thing i have now is some sort of scratching sound... just like the television lost its broadcast :S

Hello everybody (exept Little Timmy ).I need Help URGENT! I have lost allmost all sound i ever had.It is slowly dieing The mwa codeck links do not download properly! Help !!!!!

I am there, where I have to race, but I can't fly with cruise engines - they turn themselves off afther a while. And the mouseflight turns impossible - ship goes round and round, it's hard to get it through rings.
