Hey people, i got a prob with my game,(got a friend copy the game and it dont works)
but i did everything a nOOb could do
it says something is missing, after that it still says something is missing, etc etc......
after all that i try it, with a crack, it wont work, i hit enter and all he does is nothing,
after that i try it with the normal game thingy
i tried that ''plz insert the correct CD-Rom and restart application''
so i downloaded something so i will not need the CD to play it.......

Hi guys i need some help with a mission i played on the route to spruage after i and juni kill the rhienland ships she tells me to dock and so i do but when the cutscene starts as u dock and then blips to the loading screen it dosent go any further it, it just gets stuck on loading I have no Idea how to help this ive reinstalled FL like 5 times already and uninstalled and and then installed 3 times its getting me infuriated please help!!! my Fl version is 1.0.

hi Masterkamon,i am not sure of the exact error you're getting but the general recommendation is to install the SDK 1.3 available here:

Ugh sdk eh alright ill try...the error i get dosent show exactly its the loading screen that freezes up when on the mission route to spruage after the rhieland ships were defeated juni tells u to dock,as i do so the docking cutscene flows on and the loading pops up but dosent go anyfurther but ill try the sdk

Well, i cannot understand nothing at all, I ve followed the steps explained by electricbrain, and now its worse, i only hear the shootings!!! Just like some other ppl in this forum. How come it works for some ppl and not for others? Now, i would prefere it as it was before, when i could here a message once and a while.... But most importantly, WTF is wrong with mission 3???? After getting out of that iceberg looking station, we fly towards 3 rheinland ships, and thats it, nothin else, STRICTLY nothin happens after that, cant attack, cant dock, cant comunicate, cant land... I ve noticed this problems reccures in many forums, and noone can give a complete answer to help... I never thought this game would be so deceiving, especially becoz of such stupid technical problems... I'll be extremely thankfull if some of u guys coud change my mind

Hello folks. Just got my new computer system and figured I dust off my copy of Freelancer and see how it works (with some mods this time). Everything works great except for one intermitten problem I have.

Every now and again when I'm going through a jump gate (hasn't happened going through a jump hole yet), on the other end of it when I'm about to arrive in my destination system (after the white light and loading stuffs), the game suddenly crashes and my system restarts. Anyone know what might be the cause of this? This has happened both with and without mods, as well as with v1.0, 1.1, and the unofficail v1.4 I got somewhere....if it helps my system specs are as follows:

AMD Athalon 64 3500+
Gigabyte nVidia nForce 4 PCI-Express board
Windows XP SP2
2GB DDR PC3200 memory
nVidia GeForce 6600 256mb PCI-E


On occasions, I've been able to reload from the auto save and I'm at my destonation system, which is nice but rather inconvenient to have to do. I spent al l night trying to find a way to get the Sith Inflitrator ship from the SW ships mod and having to jump between a bunch of systems became a royal pain with this happening. Again, any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Edit: Oh, and if anyone could give me some insight on how to get to Sigma-17 that'd help a bunch, the Red Hessians hate my guts so I'm not sure I'd be able to get the Sith Infiltrator in Dresden.

Edit: hehe, just read on one of the othe boards the problem might be the 3D sound. I'll try that tonight after work and post back here if it fixes it or not.

Tried out disabling the 3D sound, worked like a charm.

i try to activate my 1.28 evo mod and it says im missing a .ini file and when i try activate any other mod it says the same thing except one thing but its still an .ini file please som1 help me soon!

I'm having a problem with freelancer. I use to have it installed on my computer in the past and it worked fine but now for some reason the display is strange.
All the graphics work apart from the works, popups, help, radio calls, menu buttons. The font is ok in some sections and in others you can't read it at all. I can't read the maps either, all the words are squished up. Can someone help me.
I have tried different screen sizes, colours and refresh rates and it doesn't seem to work.

I have problem with FL.I`m playing with the TNG mod (ver. 2.65) and have a problem with the sound.I play for about 5-10 min normal,and after that the voices of the NPC are becoming realy slow...Any suggestions what to do !??

I recently installed the Crossfire mod for FL. In single player, I am at the mission near Benford station in the NY system. I'm supposed to run through the "working" NY -> Magellan jump gate, and I do. But during my hyper jump, the neural net pops up and says i failed the mission "you failed to jump to the magellan system" yeah right I even tried to restart it all the way from NY, instead of the Auto save which is at Benford, Help please :'(
