If there was a war...

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

DaVoid, the Liberty ships aren't nearly so useless as you may think...They're cheap, can mount the same level of mines/CM's/Thrusters/CD's/Torps as anything else can, and they're quite agile when compared even to Kusari. True, a Patriot may only take one or two good solid hits to kill- but you have to HIT it first. And their Cruisers...ohohohoboy...those things are anti-capital ship monsters.

And, if you really want to think about it, Liberty actually produces the Civilian class of ships, so they'd have an additional set of ships to work with- including the Eagle(read the thing's description some time if you don't believe me, and tell me which house it mentions). Like I said; they're the biggest house in industrial output.

*edit- the Eagle description:

"The Eagle" stands vigil over the economic interests and therefore the ideological interests of LIBERTY. With its maxed out power rating and reinforced armor plating, it is the most sophisticated and advanced vessel in the Civilian class. All in all, it delivers the maximum defensive potential and punishing offensive firepower that credits can buy.

Hell, they were even so kind as to sell me a ship after one of my jobs with them, and I've been flying her ever since. But god help them if someone puts a bounty on THEIR heads, for I don't care who I hunt for, as long as their live capture(or untimely death) can get me enough credits to buy a decent sized mug of my favorite drink."- A Freelance Bounty Hunter.

But so many factions use the Hawk-Falcon-Eagle line that it wouldnt take much for the other houses to buy plans for it and start building them as well.

Some kind of Unholy Corsair/Outcast Alliance would probably decimate all the systems. Then the Outcasts would slaughter all the Corsairs in some kind of whacked-out Cardamine induced rage. They'd then set up a profitable trade route between the Sirius sector and Sol, using the whole sectors resoursesto create the hypergate nessesary.

Cardamine rules!!

At first the war would be a standstill, until someone starts advancing into the independent worlds... While Liberty would stay neutral because of its democratic government it would be hard for the president to declare war.

The Corsairs and Outcasts would stay quiet for the war ahead... Including the other political and rebel groups in each house.

Kusari and Bretonia should be the ones to go advance into borderworlds since they have a advantage among the other houses, liberty still in debate, Rheinland weak in economy, military...

Rheinland would soon just ride in as a strategic tactic so that other houses cant ride deep in there teritory. (note this scenario would mean there are no house or oucast/corsair alliances)

Then things start getting hot, as the rebels/crimminals take advantage in the ongoing war except for liberty.

Basicly the first one to attack liberty would be the one with the least advantage since he would be the first war target of liberty... (this would open the minds of liberty into war)

Outcasts and corsairs begin terrorizing the northern and southern parts of sirus, trying to get more ground, outcast would order their allies (rouge/lanehack/GC) to cause more trouble...

The Bounty Hunter Guild will colapse and probly be drafted in every house as ace pilots... Which means less trouble for the rebels...

The companies would probably protest against against the war, and provide little supprt for the houses... It would be chaos...

Maybe everyone will just kill each other and the zoners will gain sectors because of there neutral reputation.... Who knows??? =P

Maybe we could test this out, how? Well Create new NPC poups in a perticular area and set it to amount----1000 or more? This is an example...
P.S who will win? Trent of course!

I've been wondering though... if the Westfalen is the *only* battleship remaining after the 80 years war, then what's with all the campaign battleships?
There's the Wotan , which the traitors take out, so that one's doomed.
There's the one with the fleet that jumped you and Quintaine, but that got destroyed as well.

BUT: I remember seeing a massive assload of battleships on that one mission where you have to fly through Rheinland space to get to Von Claussen. What happened to those?

Nomad spawn. Remember that huge, HUGE buildup that the rumors were talking about? Aye. That.

Post Sun Oct 12, 2003 10:33 pm

What happened to them then? That fleet would've owned absolutely everyone.

They got blown to bits, obviously. Otherwise you'd see them mentioned.

There really iss a way rheinland could win go to that sigma system tell the junkers to crap in liberty salvage and remake the battleships and cruisers and start reproduction of the so called Imperial Fighters and if you read the infocard of battleships, cruisers and gunships they are m,ass produced and besides theres more to the rheinland millatary you remeber you have to destroy a whole shipyard having nomad batlleships docked em get my point???

Bretonia is...weak. It would die so fast.

Kusari has an excellent defensive position, with only Bretonia and Liberty to worry about (Outcasts and Corsairs block the path from/to Rheinland), they would last quite awhile.

Liberty has a budget than includes enough money to fight 2 houses at once, but surrounded by three, I think it would be destroyed as they team up and New York would become a warzone.

Rheinland has a poor economy and a weak military. They only have one Battleship (rest destroyed in 80-years war) and their high class ships could be overcome by the other houses' capital ship advantage (I think Kusari could take out Rheinland 1 on 1).

Didn't this thread die a long time ago?

Anyway, I reckon some king of unholy corsair/outcast alliance would win if it's down to power, but the Outcast's subversive tactics and the Corsair's lack of manuverability:

The Titan flies like a Cow!
would probably cause the war to result in some kind of blood drenched stalemate....

Yes, point taken. Commas are good. Periods are good. Semicolons are good.

I would say if it Rhineland had a little time to rebuild, they would propably have the biggest advantage in terms of firepower, I mean remember when you had to get Von Clausen the number of cruisers, battleships, and gunboats all over their systems? I doubt they all just *Poffed* after the end of hostilities. Besides Rhineland battleship design is way ahead of the other houses: 2 launch bays vs 1 for everyone else, and 4-8 heavy turrets to boot.
