Being a more evasive kinda guy I lean towards the Eagle. But since I was getting pretty good combat results in my Dromedary, I doubt if the Sabre would be that much of a maneuvering problem.

I only recently bea the sp and the only one of the "Big Three" i have flown is the Titan, which I have had for a while. i suppose i could switch and give the Eagle a try...but trying the Sabre will be a bit more difficult seeming as it is rather difficult when the Outcasts treat me as if I have stolen all of their children or something...oh well. Plus i just like the corsairs in general (mainly cuz they were who i found first on my adventures into non-trade route systems) There is just something special when your trying to reach a faction whos home planet is through like 4 heavily irradiated systems with Hessians on all sides and you have an Anubis with level 6 weps! (Landing on the then neutral Crete with 100,000 creds to my name and no more nanos or bats was a relief!) Who should i kill to get neutral with the outcasts? (I still want to remain at least neutral with police and corsairs) I was thinking xenos...

id say the extra turret on the sabre isnt exactly an advantage , at least til they come out with some turret that is good and has same projectile speed ad nomad guns , since turrets just screw up your aim if theyre different speed ( or any gun for that matter) . I still like Sabre more than the Titan though , Eagle is by far the best in my opinion tho .

listening to all ur opinions, i think i'll go for the titan first, seeing that they don't seem to do too bad in the hands of the cosairs. and all the titans that the cosairs fly seem to have lvl10 shields (i scanned 3) with 101xx HP. then i'll go to check out the eagle, considering i saw a glimpse of it on sale somewhere. . . baden baden i think it was. . . i got a hawk before my humpback and got scr*wed by stilettos from the hessians they seem to look like the sabres from far. are they? or just same design? then i think i'll move onto the sabre, well considering i'm only some 40hrs in, i'm guessing u guys are hundreds of hrs in . . . and i have 1.5 mill so far, thnx to my humpback. . . *GREEN* farts.
and mobile weapons platform considering hull HP, the titan would take like at least 5 starkiller torps after gettting shields cut. that's even better than the big X weapons platforms around. . .

Dont even waste your time with the Titan. It really sucks bad and any good pilot will run circles around you. Your weapons are usless if you never get to even shoot anyone with them. The additional armor means squat because its so slow you will get wasted, and it uses the same lvl 10 shield the rest of the ships use.

Currently I'm zipping around charting systems in a Sabre...With the mix of armor and the 360 turret, it's perfect for surviving irradiated areas and heavy duty combat. Once I have everything(and I mean EVERYTHING) mapped out, I intend to find myself an Eagle and use that for a while. I might try a Titan later if I don't get too attached to the other two(and I must say, the Sabre is growing on me).

I gotta say,

the sabre may be the better ship for doing missions, vhf trading, npc pirating (non pvp things), however, if any of yall sabre-lovers come to the server i play on and try to pvp an eagle you will see that nothing is better than manueverablity in a true human v human dogfight. i have fought many a sabre and titan in my eagle and i triumph every time for the same reason, THEY ARENT ABLE TO HIT ME!!! its wonderful, i keep them in full view the whole time but they can never see me. one guy was so frustrated he tried to get his friends to gang up on me. they wouldnt back him up because......they all had sabres too. please dont take me for a pirate or a pk, i always ask before dueling or wait to be fired upon before firing back. thx for listenin.

oh, and NO, the Eagle's turret cannot fire in a foward arc. Only the Sabre can fire the turret in a foward arc and it can make all the difference in a battle

Man i dont think you quite understand. Your turret will not make all the difference in a battle. I know the eagle's doesnt fire forward, but i dont need it to. i dont even use it! manueverability will make the difference in a fight. whoever can get their guns aimed at the other person the fastest and the most consistent. if u ever find me on the server i play on (dont want to name it, dont wanna get in trouble) we'll have a duel, and i will prove to u that u bein able to fire ur turret forward will not have any effect on the outcome of the fight, because you wont be able to hit me with it (or any of ur weapons). i will still say that in sp or non pvp missions and goingson that the sabre would probably be ur best bet. however, in a pvp dogfight u have to be able to out manuever ur opponent, shoot him w/o bein shot, the eagle can do that against the sabre.

Hey, my first post. (Hihihi!)

Despite my overall noobness, I have to say it all comes down to personal preference. I personally can't stand the titan, trying to fight in one is kinda like trying to do donuts on the high school football field with a city bus. That is, if the city bus had 6 monstrous guns and a shield pr... but nevermind, that's unimportant to the analogy.

However, I'm the kind of person that would hunt with friends using Valkyries, while I'm using a Drake. And still get the same number of kills. (But then when I switched to a valkyrie I found myself not only getting absolutely none of the kills, but constantly trying not to die.) So, having flown all three vhf's I have to say the eagle is my favorite. When it comes down to it, when I've 6 monstrous guns dealing insane amoutns of damage, having one more is not logistically a huge advantage to me. When I get hit twice as much flying a sabre as I do in an eagle, and I'm using the same shield, I'd gladly sacrifice a 1/7 damage output reduction for a 1/2 damage input reduction.

But I digress... in the end the vhf's are all, in my opinion, far too overpowered. When you can quite easily do the 100-200k missions in a Falcon with top weapons for its class, what do you need a vhf for? And that's why I traverse the solar systems in a Banshee.
