Beliati is one of the worst places. Its linked to the fact that zoners are anti raider in this version and they shouldn't be. They have patrols around zoner bases that leads to a crash.

Hello everyone , my first post on here. I have just finished reading the last page ...phew!!
Mace I owe you an apology, on another forum I wrongly attributed your FS mod to the maker of the Big Daddy mod soooooooo sorry grovel grovel.
By way of making up I spent a few hours cleaning up the universe map , hope its of use , but how do I attach it to this post or shall I send it to you by email to vet first ? If you do not consider it ok I will not be insulted and throw a wobbly.
The mod is the best I have played so far in the four years I have had the game , I play little else in fact I have half a dozen games still in their cellophane wraps.
Fs is full of surprises and you have made an excellent piece of work , as an artist I know what it is like to create something from naught but an idea and all the trials and tribulations , fiddling and tweaking to achieve personal satisfaction that go with it . I can imagine at times it was a monster.
So far I am about halfway through the new systems and have experienced only one crash unfortunately I did not make a note of it , this was before I found this forum, but one of the bugs mentioned further back by someone seemed familiar ' crashed when attempting to buy a new ship ' . I will log any future problems .

I knowh things have been pretty quiet on here for a while. I was supposed to releasing FS 1.74 a couple of weeks ago. I haven't forgotten or given up. I am less interested in modding freelancer at the moment, but i do intend on releasing a new version that fixes the current bugs and increases the gameplay.
Current release list
Sort through flspit for around 30 systems
Go through the goods files and match them to the changes (bit of a nightmare)
Create new FLshell templates for the next version
Should probably add to the "goto" entries for FLshell too
Thats about it, not much really. I'll see how i get on over the next week or so.

hello again mace. hope things are going well on your end for the new version. we all eagerly anticipate it's release, and appreciate your efforts.
just for giggles and grins, i've recently tinkered with a couple of systems that have given me ctd fits:
1. epsilon indi, which ctd'd constantly when entering from ackarack.
2. lalande 21185, which ctd's any time i tried to enter the system.
it seems the "band-aid" for both systems was commenting out all independent pirate patrol zone references. why they appear to be funky like this, i dunno. did a few other little tweaks just to suit me, but the IP patrols were the big-daddy issue.
not sure if this will help you or not, but i'm just tickled to death it actually worked. FLE is such a cool tool, even for noobs. ya'll take care.

Carinea, there is a problem with the docking ring. It means that nobody can play through the quest with the current version. To fix:
01. Open up:universe/systems/hi01/hi01.ini
02. Search for:nickname = Hi01_02_dock_ring
03. Change the reputation to fr_quest1_grp
04. Save

Hi Aukmune, i can help, but i need to know a few things first. Are you playing on multiplayer? If so the server should be running the system and might need to be modded too (not sure about that one).
The other, is have you gone through the quest in the game o are you trying to land at Carina normally? It is a part of a quest that begins at the Jumpgate to the Van Maanen's Star system (you need to puchase a permit in order to gain access to the system). After that just keep popping into the bars, maybe a couple of times and follow the quest until you gain access to Carina, Pygar and a number of others.

Cheers Predator, i have done most of the work for the next release. Got to admit i've been a bit bored of modding FL lately. I'll get it out sometime fairly soon, most of the work is already done.
For the server files, i had intended to release the file only to a single server at first to get a community going and make things more interesting. But, now that the server i had intended to give it to has gone under, i might end up releasing everything FS V1.74 in a single bundle.

Thanks for the info Mace . I think releasing all the files for a server is a good idea. I see here at lancers all the time people that have slow internet and cannot play mp online but would like to run a lan server, without the server files that isn't possible(Without Hacking of course ). Anyways looking forward to the next release
I've got the same problem mentioned previously on this thread. I've loaded the FS 1.1, the opensp patch, and the game patch into flmm. I then loaded a fresh install of FL and installed sdk 1.5 on top of that. I then activated the mod, opensp. and the patch. When I go to launch the game I get the brief FL intro screen and then nothing. I've gone through this process twice with the same result. Any ideas on whats wrong? BTW I'm using FLMM 1.4
@jtareb, so what exactly do you get? Is it failing to get to the main menu screen? FS was made using SDK v1.3 and was tested using FLMM v1.3.
I guess its possible that the new updated files are causing problems.
One other check is to remove or delete any saved games, the autosave and restart.fl from the:
My Documents\My Games\Freelancer\Accts\SinglePlayer
directory.

Actually, thinking about it, there is/was a problem with the opensp for the current release. If you chose the default starflier, then you couldn't spawn due to a missing loadout. Try one of the other starting positions and see if you can get into the game that way.
If you still want to play the default choice, let me know and i'll post up a simple fix.

Thanks for the quick reply. The game simply will not start. I get an initial FL intro screen then it stops--the program never activates. I'm going to give it another try without sdk 1.5. FLMM1.4 loaded the game with no problem--all the files were there. Am looking forward to your next update of the mod. Again thanks for the quick reply.
