Three months? You must have a biiig plan @_@

By your advice to fight order, I was finally able to get well with nomad. My reputation now is order-0.9 monkey-0.9 nomad0.9 robert 0.0. I planed to go to robert's planet to bribe order or get some job against nomad since I had bought what I wanted from them. But on my way to robert's I was attacked by money and then the robert began hostil, too! What can I do now? Roberts is white to me normally, but they become hostile once I met some monkeys. I cannt avoid meeting monkey so I cannt dock on robert's planet. When fighting orders I used to get a job from them beforehand cos that make nomad white to me temporarily. But nomad deos not offer job so I cannt use the same trick. I'm stuck with nomad now, help!

Okay Powerdoll, this is a tricky situation.

The Robots get hostile to you, because the Monkeys are their friends. If they now see you being attacked by their friends, they want to help them. So they also attack you.
I know that it is really hard to fly to Planet Gammu without encountering a Monkey patrol, but you should try to do it.
If it doesn't work, the last thing to do is to fight the Nomads again. If you kill enough of them, the Monkeys will not hate you anymore. Of course, the Nomads will hate you for this.
But I think that it would be unrealistic, if you could be friendly to the Monkeys and the Robots and also the Nomads.
So, you have to choose, whoes friend you want to be.

Hi, this is Vader{MERCS},one question,Is it possible that Dr.Quitane successfully developes his own version of a ' Hyper-Gate ',using the technology of the Dom-Kavash?,which could be operated by the ' Order ' ? say leading from new/unknown sytem's to Liberty? with real freaked-out jump effects?

The thing with the hypergate is not a bad idea, but in my opinion every jump should cost a few credits, because the gate needs so much energy etc.!
I'm not sure if it is possible to make every jump cost money, but I will try this. Thanks for the idea!

I have to say that I did not mod in the last days, because I played the space game X2 The Threat from egosoft. This game is nearly as good as Freelancer (I love my fleet of 60 ships and 24 stations

But I will definitely keep modding!

Hey, Vader{MERCS}. It's a surprise to find myself in your fiction. A highly skilled pilot and ex-B.Hunter? I'm flattered According to the commonsense, such kind of full-developed-from-begining NPCs always die for their so called last-mission-before-retirement or sacrifice-for-final-victory (like Walker in original game). So please, if you want to do this to me, give me a glory death. At least I should end up together with an enemy capital ship, is that ok? And one more thing, dont let nomad get my body and turn me into thier champion knight. I still donnt see any hint about the Robert, looking forward to your next charper.

And, Black Eagle, hello. Vader{MERCS}'s fiction just gave me an exciting idea about your mod, maybe stupid also. That is, can you take me into your mod? I'm not asking you to put me in some bar as NPC. Since my ID sounds like some code name rather than a person, maybe you could name a kind of level 10 gun after me? You have made nomad topedo and cruise disputor need no armo but energy, that is to say, you turned them into kind of gun, right? Here is my idea, if you make a missle have the homing ablity and speed like cruise disputor, and fire rate like your "Vulcan" Monkey Photon Cannon Mk II (8.33 times/second), and consume energy insead of armo, what will you get? You get a gun with homing ability! I once suggested you to put some unique equipment near your dangerous blackhole. Now if you like, you can put me, eh, I mean the hot gun named after me, there. Just make sure it can be bought from nowthere and must be found by great risks, and your can discribe me like this: There is no information available on this weapon other than its project name and ancient oriental style of design. As to the damage, I guess I should be modest. My mother always told me not to ask for too much from the God who built the world. One should always feel satisfied and grateful for what he has got, shouldn't he? So...could your please just refer to the nomad topedo?

Many thanks for sending your fan fiction Vader. I really like it and I'm waiting for the next chapter.

Powerdoll: I will surely include some strong unique weapons, which can only be looted from wrecks, but I'm not sure if I will name one of them Powerdoll. Sorry, but I think this is not the best name for a weapon!!
But I will think about it!

As for the mod: I'm still playing X2, but I'm also modding a bit. For now I'm tweaking the system with the blackhole.
Next week, my holidays will end and the school will begin again. Then I will be here less often, becuase I have to work for the school as I'm in the second last year before my maturity.
I will still answer your posts, but it may take some more time than before. I hope you understand this, thanks!

Hey Black Eagle!

I must say, Monkeys 1.1 is by far the best mod I have installed. I have a few questions for you.

1) I can't seem to find either the Starblazer or the Advanced CSV. Can you tell me where I can buy them?

2) I just started a new game of the monkeys mod with Open SP and "SP Money Mod" also running. Will I encounter problems? I usually always try to run Open SP with SP Money Mod, due to the fact that you get no money when starting Open SP.

3) The Speed Mod doesn't activate with the Monkeys on. Can I run the monkeys mod and still be able to go faster than the norm (450 cruise)?

Actually, I just changed my mind about this mod...now I really do not like it. All I really wanna do is pilot the new ships, but I can't do that. IMO, 1,500 credits is nowhere near enough money needed to start off. I'm not saying we should automatically get 1,000,000 credits or anything, but ALOT more than 1,500 is needed since all the prices went up.

I've played through Freelancer so much, and I really do not wanna work my ass off to get enough credits just to make it out to the Nomad 2 system, let alone work my ass off even more to get enough credits to buy the what, 2,000,000 credit ship?

I highly suggest starting players off with ALOT more money in the 1.2 version. I'm not bashing this mod, spitting on it, or otherwise saying "it sucks" in any way...I'm just putting my two cents in.

PS: Also, why do the thrusters drain so much now? Its kind of annoying IMO.

Hey, Zero117. Please allow me to give some words on this mod as a defender

Your are right about the tough start in this world. But if you have a liitle more patience, you will find the real interest of it. Easy money in the original game can make one level up fast, but it will also make the game boring fast. Once you get a Titan, you will find the rest of money useless. There ARE some very expensive weapons such as sunslayer. But there is no need to use them any more when you have enough to buy them, cos you can use titan to blow down most fleets with nomad guns. Actually, most people stop playing the game soon after they get Titan. On the contrary, in this world owning the best ship is only the first step to enter the ultimate battlefield. Even with that you can still find many challenging enemies. Money is still badly needed there cos you must use some huge-damage-weapon like torpedos in large amounts.

So here is my advice if you would still like to try this mod for one more time. First, avoid fighting unless your ship is far more stronger than your enemies. That is to say, avoid taking job with difficulty level near you own level. Then you will ask how to earn money? I suggest you play the story mode. Enemies in story mission are much easier to defeat and when you finish the story you will already have quite a deal of money to start trading among systems. If you like to play openly, then I suggest you may try to collect some wreck, that will make you rich quickly as well as give you some powerful equipment. If you must fight one fraction in order to get well with another one, dont fight their wings directly. Fighting their depot will meet your need in an easier and faster way.

As to the questions in your first post, you can find Adv. CSV at Kabukicho Depot in New Tokyo, and Starblazer in planet new London( or Leeds I'm not sure). The cruise speed IS 450 mph in this world, though it appears to be 300 mph, you can feel the difference. However, this will make the race game with Hovis in story a little tougher

I realy recommend this mod if you are an experienced lancer who are seeking new challenge. Although this mod does no add too much to the original game, the life style, as you have already seen, is very different in this new world.

Hi Zero117!

At first thanks for playing the mod and for posting here.

To the money. If you play the story again, you will get a higher reward for the first mission (4000 Cr. and in the next version this will be 6000 Cr.). Of course I understand that you don't want to play the whole story again. So I will submit a new version of the OpenSP mod specially for The Monkeys. There you will also get 6000 Cr. to start.
And there is one other thing. In the badlands in the New York system, there is a wreck with 20 cardamine. If you fly to this wreck and then sell the cardamine on Manhattan, you'll get 30,000 Cr.. This is enough to start with.
I increased the prices in the game, because it was to easy to earn money. In the original game it was possible to start with OpenSP and buy a Titan after 10 hours.
Try to earn some money (or find the wreck I mentioned above) and then buy a freighter. There are many profitable traderuns, so that you will soon be able to buy ships and equipment of the Monkeys, the Robots or the Nomads.

The Starblazer is for example on Planet New London and the Adv. CSV is buyable on Kabukicho Depot in New Tokyo system.

I'm not sure about the SP Money mod. Try if it works and if you encounter problems, deactivate the mod and play without it. But you shouldn't activate it if FLMM says that it is incompatible to my mod.
For the Speed mod. The mod should work with mine, but maybe the Robot Thruster will no longer be the best Thruster in the game, because the Speedmod also changes the original thrusters. As the Robot Thruster is not in the original FL, it will not be changed. If you do not use the Speedmod, there is no way to go faster than 450.

The Thrusters drain so much, because in the original game you could use your thrusters to flee from your enemies. Because of this, the cruise-disruptors were useless.
I made all thrusters faster, but also increased the energy drain. So you can use the thrusters in a fight to have some time for your shields to reload or to avoid being hit by the enemy.
But if you want to flee you have to start your cruise engines and you also need countermeasures to avoid to be hit by a cruise-disruptor.

And again, you normally start with 4000 Cr. (6000 in the next version). But the OpenSP mod takes all your money away. So please wait for my own version of OpenSP. I will submit it to lancersreactor during this week.
