Reynen, have you considered possibly using another name for your next mod? "Rebalance Mod" is being used by Johnny already and if you use it too, it will cause confusion....and we don't want confusion.

Good idea, Rey. O well... perhaps I can get permission from the company eventually....

On another note...

I got the BS encounters fixed, I think... At least mission 1 works right. All the rheinlanders are friendly, and Liberty likes them.....

UPDATE:

I hate to add to your plate, but I noticed that things like transports, and other cargo vessels have their un-modded wepons on them... So they aren't any help in a firefight... even the story ship Prison Ship XT19 has horrible guns. It isn't a problem, but it could help on some missions and stuff....

UPDATE:

I dunno if ya fixed this, but in BETA 4b the weapons platforms still only have 1000000 health. It's in solararch.ini ya may have fixed this in BETA 5 but I wasn't sure...

YAY! The Rheinlanders like me! I may have fixed the BS encounters! Now a few more things to do and then port it to beta 5.

UPDATE:

I've got the Rheinland BS using upgraded versions of their original wepons. Now it's more like you're fighting the rheinlanders

Gonna make the Liberty Fleet use their stuff, then port it to BETA 5.

Aight! The liberty bs are using their original wepons, upgraded, of course, to hurt more.

Now, I just have to refine their spawning.... not allways spawn... too many escorts... etc....

YES! We are good 2 go! the bs encounters are working with beta 5b! just gonna check the Donau, and then I'm gonna send it in to Rey..

What the heck?! watching the intro cutscene of Freeport 7 getting 0wned and all the missiles hit each other! lol! nothing hit the station, and yet it blew up.... lol......

Aight.... got an updated version of my capships in now! Guess what this one adds?

TIE ENCOUNTERS!

That's right! Tie Fighter, Interceptor, and Defender Encounters are available! And they use the new Tie guns added in BETA 5b!

Sending to Rey now.... encounters are a little ways dow the tradelane from Manhattan to West Point.... there's a weapons platform in the middle of the spawn zone....

Also:
there's some waves around Manhattan... nothing big...

Reynen your mod rocks.

Using 2.0 5b I've played the Cargo Train for several game hours and encountered the following:

1. After playing for a while the orientation of the controls gets messed up. You push up but you go down. Loging out and back in seems to fix it. Docking and launching does not.

2. When launching from a base (not a planet) I frequently end up merged with the base. I have been able to get unstuck every time so far, but sometimes its very hard to get loose.

3. The docking ring for yukawa shipyard is about 5000 km from the actual station. It functions fine, just kinda weird.

The Cargo Train stuck bug may just be an extension of the problem we had with the BS. If the Train is longer than a BS then it may be exiting the docking ring too close to the station....

as for the control wackiness... i dunno... may be a handling bug or something...

i'd like to see it. Personally, I liked the leather jacket... but the shades are sweet.... I wanna try and put one of thos Bounty Hunter eye attachments on him.... lol

I am new to freelancer. I am interrested in installing this mod pak. just a couple of questions. Is this for single player mode also? If it is I am a leval 32 with a titan, do I need to start over or will I just continue on?

I love this game I have been looking for a game like this since I played Elite Plus 10+ years ago.

It is for single and multi, but you have to start over.... move all your saves from the save folder.


Here's a shot from my new weapons, one makes the smoke effect when it hits something, and the other makes the sparks when it hits... they last a long time, so it looks kinda cool, just gotta fund a bigger smoke effect tho....

Hey, I was wondering if you can change the cruise speeds and top thruster speeds so that each ship has different speeds? That way if your in a fight you can't win and you have a more advanced thruster that the other guys, you can get away, or if you have a better cruise engine you can cruise out of there and they can't keep up unless they have a faster engine?

Also can you make a piece of hardware called Cruise Engine, Heavy Cruise Engine, and so on and so forth, and make them very expensive to buy. It would add to the game in a good way. And make the ships weight or size be a factor as to what would be the biggest thrusters and cruise engines you can have.


Of course if and of this is not possible, it is a good idea anyway.

Currently, I don't think there's a way of making different cruise engines or speeds, just one for all ships...

UPDATE:

I've got a new gun! Remeber the second part of mission 1 where you had to protect Prison Ship XT-19from the Liberty Rogues? Remember how it was covered in cook smoke and lights and stuff? I've made a gun that creates that effect whenever you hit something!

What do you think? The only bug so far is that it doesn't ever stop.... it may if you go far enough away, and it does when u dock.... but if there's a lot on the screen, the smoke stops coming out of new ones... but it takes a lot!

UPDATE:

Man, I love making weapons! You can make almost anything! I can make a gun burst into flames on you, and not extinguish untill you die or dock! I can make things with jump holes as their effect! It's weird... and awesome...

Anyhoo... the only bug so far is that it crashes the first time you die.... after that it's fine. but the first time you die and hit respawn it usually crashes the client, not the server, I think... need more testing....... and more peeps..... I'm gonna have to make these guns real big drain and expensive cuz some have permanent effects.... so they don't go away intull the thing dies, you dock, or you or it gets out of visual range (not sure about last one... tho).
