Hi there.

I'm probably just stupid now, but I downloaded your mod a few hours ago along with the FL Mod Manager. I installed the mod and activated it. But where are the new ships? I goes to the places mentioned in the readme file but I can't find them. Do i have to play on a server to get these ships? Or is it somethin wrong with my installation. All the docking rings are there, but not the ships. Please help me!!

Very good mod, but did find a annoying bug in it. Using 9 beams and gotten the sunslayer torpedo but for some reason the torpedo's fire at same time am firing all 9 beams.

Can you fix this in next update.

Hey, in case any one cares i am running this mod on a MP server. It does report to the master server and all that fun stuff. If any one wants to play on this server the ip address is.... 24.247.124.93. This is a six player server (hey i only got cable) running on a 850mhz athlon with 1bg of ram. If any one wants to play a different mod, or yell at me about how the server isn't working, e-mail me at [email protected].

Umm thats not his prblem to fix, its yours. in the wepon loadout list on the Bottom right hand side of the HUD you need to DESELCT the torps so they dont luanch with the default weapons. ITs non reynens fault it does that, its your own.

I've had a look throught this thread (and the readme), and have found something wierd that I cannot see mentioned.

I was flying around, minding my own business, killing Rogues at random (they shot first), when I noticed I could tractor no more loot. So I did an F7 to see what I was carrying, and sure enough, cargo was full. Went looking at my other loot, and noticed I had 3 fighter super shields. So I figure cool, must use them and sell the rest (I was in a dagger at the time). When I land, there is no sign of them, either in the Equipment Dealers or in the F7 Screen. Damn, I think, there must be a bug where they disappear from you inventory when you land. So I launch, fly around and do some mining. Fill my loot, and check out my loot again. It was still on the equipment page, and my 3 shields are there.

Anyways, just thought I'd mention this.

BTW, great work with the mod Reynan. Works brilliantly with the Miner Co mod (I run them together). I also run the MP Neutrality mod (maybe you can permission to add these as well). Also, I'm thinking of doing some modding as well. Anything I can start by looking at? I don't want to double up something you are working on.

I may be wrong, but the fact that your running antoher mod WITH reynen's mod may be giving you the tractor/cargo bug, cuz i know for fact ( i ahve done some extensive personal testing of this) that that particular bug was squashed ( or at least stuck on that sticky paper). you should try only running reynens mod alone.

Hey Reynen,

I haven't dropped a line here for a bit, mostly due to not having any servers running near me with decent ping. Biitch's server pings a nasty 550+ down here in OZ. And nothing better is up yet. With only a speed limited ADSL account, running one myself is not an option. When I tried it gave continual lag problems to even local friends logging in, causing up to 5 second delays. Not pretty in a dogfight.

Anyways, great work you're continuing to do. Just a small bug I spotted yesterday while on Biitch's server (limited to trading with the ping issue). I went to land on Freeport 2 in the Bering system, when I noticed as I was docking that the docking ring was called Pacifica Docking Ring. Sure enough I ended up on Pacifica Base. Quite funny considering when I launched it was red to me and I almost didn't escape alive. Just a small mix up in that system I thought you might like to be aware of.

Otherwise, great fun was had by me. I can hardly wait till your schedule allows you to include the Babylon 5 models as well. I'm glad at least you will manage to get the balance between the B5 ships a little better than the only other MOD around with them. heh.

Sorry Spawn, I should have been clearer with my post (got lost in the storytelling).

The problem I was having was with the shields, not with the cargo. I have 3 of the super shields, but cannot see them (to sell or equip) when I visit an equipment dealer. Otherwise I have had no problems with the mod, except my inability to stay alive (turns out the dagger isn't designed to take on high level missions ).

Well, I just went for a server search and guess what? I found a Reynen MOD server pinging around 320 for me down here. Also, when playing on it I get very few of those nasty yellow lag symbols, and it seems quite smooth. I will be playing on this server for the time being. I still hold out hope for an Aussie-based server sooner or later, but for now this one is it for me.

Here are the details for anyone else interested in a different server, or other aussie players seeking a decent Reynen MOD experience.

P.S. I found another server also with good ping for me, but it is password locked. It belongs to a MSN group called Fleet Of The Imperial. A shame as it pings below 300 for me.

The game is still crashing after destroying a starbase or battleship base.

I tried that deslect thing and it still fires the torpedo at same time as all 9 beams.

I looked into the files, and I can't find where it makes the Rheinlanders hate you... the BS should be part of the Red Hessians! AAAAACCKKK!

I'll look deeper into it, perhaps the good and bad ones can't share any thing, even loadouts and stuff, or perhaps it's a weird parameter that I missed... o wel...

Good news tho! After reviewing you guys' posts and asking my dad (who's in the music industry) I've decided to release the Moby clip I'm using for the death music. It's up to Rey, of couse, wether he thinks it's good, or safe enuff but I don;t see how they can sue b4 they send a "Cease and Desist" order. I'll be trying to mail it to ya Rey, and if I can't, then I'll use spawn's ftp server. more on it later!

UPDATE:

I sent the music to ya, Rey, and it should go thru, since it's only 150 kb....

What ship are you using, what beams, and what station did you buy the stuff at?

For cruisers and battleships you must deselect the missile turrets or they will autofire.

Hmmm I thought I fixed that shield bug but I guess not. I will take a look into it and release another version with some more bug fixes.

Also I am not sure what running other mods in combination with mine will do so if you discover a bug please try and duplicate it using only my mod first.

Thanks I will fix that system, I also discovered one myself in the bretonia system. It was really late when I did them so no doubt I made a few errors. I will have that fixed in the next patch.

Also thanks for the server info, I wish I knew the owner so I could get more info and add them to the list.

Thanks for the music, but at this point with RIAA going nuts on someone even mentioning they listened to a song without owning a CD I think I would like to stay clear from adding any artists music into the mod.

I don't even want to have to deal with any letter nor royalties. Thanks for the thought though.
