Hello,
I am fairly new to your server. I appreciate what you are attempting. Not far from Seattle here in Auburn; DSL 768/256; and have noticed very little lag tus far. Only lag was just before the character wipe reset about now. I am curious how people are cheating? Although can understand if you do not wish to answer such.

I like this server, many people but able to be low lag and such. As with any gathering of people you will always find people that like to ruin the fun for everyone else. But that is life. i am glad that you are keeping a tight reign and i offer you good luck. If I can be of any help feal free to contact me.

We had a cheater this morning name of Oenone get on and was level 22 within minutes. This was after the wipe. Might want to keep an eye on him. As far as I know he wasnt PKing, but he was BLANTENT about cheating, and even asked what was wrong with it. (sigh)

Hi! I played on ur server the past two days but after u tried to fix somthing(i logged me out before u r server went offline). My acc wasnt there. I promise i dont hacked or cheated anything.

Banned about 2 dozen cheaters this morning.

I am sure I missed a few, but the cheaters should note that the White Hats are getting more powerful these days. Also we are working together helping each other run thier servers.

Unknown as to if you have already taken care of this but this morning (april 14, 2003) some cheaters came on after the wipe, names of Mystic and killo;
scorp was cheating but he deleted the hacked account and became legit, But I would watch him, also [Freelancerxeltor came on high ranked but said he did not know why. i would watch him also.
Also, Gene_defect, since you like to have a character at most places you should make them with a symbol or other defining mark so as people can contact you if there is a problem when you are online. Just an idea.

Another Idea is to have a few trusted players or known friends play as "Marked" modirators. People that everyone can Identify and can go to about problems while they are online. You cant be on all the time, so sometimes it helps to have other eyes in uniform enforcing your rules.

The server went down at about 11:45am and I havent seen it even appear on the list of servers since then. Previous to that i was getting really bad lag.
System Setup: 785/256 cable in seattle area on P4 1.7, 512mb RDRAM, GF3 TI 200.

I pretty much get veryy little or no lag with my cable connection down here in California. To bad them hackers got to mess everything up its kinda lame Pking in Manhattin. I see the server went down right after I got back to lvl 36 again.

Is there any way any way I can contact you with a complaint or something? Stupid "=TDW=Zirrer" was PKing around Manhattin using a starfler with nomad guns. How he got lvl 10 weaponds on that hunk of junk I don't know. There was also Mystic who somehow by some miricle got to lvl 36 within 5 mins of joining after server wipe last night. Ay least he wasn't PKing... *sigh*

Sorry about the Server outtage. Don't have my Remote Connection setup yet, so I can't investigate it till I get off of work

Just a little extra info. I now have a dedicated DSL line for my game servers (not just freelancer all the time, but for now, yes) It should be connected by EOD on the 21st. If this occurs I should be able to once again bump the players up to at least 100. I will start at 100 and see how it goes from there. Repeat, this is one week out from today at the soonest.

As for the Cheaters, I believe I got most of them before I left for work. I recognize most of the name listed and they were banned.

I would bet that more than likely one of them is the one who took my server down around noon PST. Probably pissy and decided to ruin it for everyone.

I am trying to get FLServer to restart itself when this happens, if anyone here knows how to have it just start the server and not bring up the darn window that needs to be OK'd, then we won't have this problem again.

As to me having characters just about everywhere, that was before patch. I have to do that again and probably won't get to it until weekend at the earliest.

As for having people help me. I am looking into a couple of people as possible remote admins for the machine. Don't ask me to be one! I will ask you if I am interested in having you help. Other than that, some of you are getting decent level. Eventually you could become the ingame "Police" of sorts. Ya know, 3 of you sit in New york for example and guard it. Help newbies, ect. I have no problem with that, just don't cheat to make yourself strong enough to do that.

On the Home page hear at Lancer's Reactor there is an app that allows you to do just that, Start the server after it crashes. It also logs the crash. Check it out.
