Well, given my hometown (London) was bombed by some $%*&^ terrorists and I still can't get in touch with one of my friends, I shall reply somewhat impatiently.

007, as that's how you want to be known.

How did Alex Johnson acquire the Nomad guns? Or the other high-powered weaponry? He has a mix of pirate tech, outcast tech and some project guns. How did he get those?
Can you at least explain how the name 007 managed to carry through the millenia?
Where was Alex born?
How old is he?
What motivates him?
What makes him act nobly?
As a Freelancer, does he care only about survival? Money? Killing Outcasts? Would he kill an Outcast child if he saw one?
Where did he get the money to buy an expensive ship?
Where did he learn to fly?

Argh.

Yeah. Okay. I don't really want to make a bigger deal out of this so I'll just ask one question (in two parts). Why isn't "hero" a good enough epithet for Damien? Why must you make him into a messiah?

I already explained this to Konn...and hoped that he would pass on the message to you.

This isn't an ego ploy by me to make Damien into a messiah. The point of the book was that without it Damien would feel his sacrifice useless and pointless, because he would have died to save a race that in his opinion in its present state barely deserved to be saved. He would have saved the shells of existence, but the true problem from his perspective lay not in threat to physical health and life, but rather in that humanity had confounded itself in an ocean of suffering. Creating the book wasn't his attempt to bloat his name in history, he couldn't care less about that. It was an act of compassion to pass on the forgotten wisdom of previous sages to humanity.

Everything I had Rob think, say and do stands. Who wouldn't get pissed off at that level of conceit?

DSQ - I disagree. Philosophy is fine so long as it's an honest exploration of something. But you knew all that already.

Having read and re-read my post, I suspect it might be a little more racy and darker than I originally intended.

Final, or other mod. If you want me to re-write a few bits please let me know! The story is still essentially based in the FL universe, thus some of the posts might be inappropriate for younger members of the forum.

Having said, the RPG has death, combat, intrigue, psychosis, ghosts, spaceships and whatnot. It's fairly 'adult' anyway..!

My feelings is if Death blood murder and Dev is allowed, some flash seens of sex is nothing to it.
