No harm done. And you'd never know if I didn't tell you, right?

Battleship Leviathan

"Ok lieutenant why is there a liberty Battleship out there?"
"Unknown sir"
From the far left hand side of the room an alarm sounded
"Sir unknown warship is charging weapons"
"Raise our shield and divert power from non essential systems, get the pilots to there ships but don't launch yet"
After stopping for breath the Commodore typed in a command on his computer
"Channel opening...." appeared on screen
"Attention unknown warship this is the BAF Leviathan please identify your self we mean you no harm we have become lost in this jump hole nexus and need your assistance, i repeat we mean you no harm"

But--if running away is an option...would you consider doing it? If not--

Battle strategy:
Theta 1 launch torps and missiles at 1st nomad battleship. Theta 2 do the same to second. Afterwards split off, fly evasively, launch missiles and any nearby nomad ships. Theta 3 and Escort wing stay at a distance and pick off the fighters.

The Merry Men can post their own.

Merry Men tactics (assuming we can't all RUN THE HELL AWAY, of course):

All fighters break and engage the Nomad fighters (not the super though, we'll leave that one to the Bundschuh and their fancy-pants Sabres). Generally speaking they'll all go their separate ways but there'll be three Piranhas (the Mastersons) flying as one. So essentially a triple shielded, triple armed Piranha. Keep in mind the various special skills the pilots possess. Some are consummate masters of evasion (Manny and 2 others), others are best at head to head passes (Leo and 2 others), then there are the "snipers" who can hit critical systems from 500m (Gawa and 1 other) and Claus - the one everybody ignores. That's all the mission fighters.

As far as the various transports are concerned, they'll be doing different things. The two armored transports and one train will provide suppression fire for the fighters. The other two trains (Randy and Georgina) will break and engage the fighters as well. They'll use an interesting tactic here; instead of just using their turrets, they'll use the laws of physics (so conspicuously absent from FL) to turn the trains into great big Nomad-bashing baseball bats. How does this work. They fire thrusters to build up speed and then wrench the controls in whatever direction while simultaneouly firing the braking thrusters on the front of the ship. This will casue the entire back end to swing around and sweep through entire wings of Nomad fighters - or that's how I see it, at least. I'll leave the battleships to the Bundschuh. They're the ones with Sunslayers, after all.

Very good.

But yeah, we really should just bloody run away...like yellow bellied pansies.

"I'll bite your legs off!!"

Battleship Canada

'Sir, request to open channel'

'Accept.'

(Your chat)

'This is battleship...'

The Commander sighed, and continued.

'Battleship Canada. We are from the Liberty Navy, and appeared here by an unknown mean. We are NOT hostile, I repeat, NOT hostile.'

'Now where the hell are we ?'

Battleship Leviathan

"We were hoping you could tell us" and with that the Commodore laughed and told his officers to stand down
"So looks like you came here the same way we did a jumphole tear, now as far as we can work out there are jumphole here to every system in Sirius and more, but there all out of phase,” He paused and check his notes” But our scan show they are phase aligning in sync so in 18 hours they will all open, what this means is unknown but it is not natural, something is causing it while we wait here I’m sending a signal to an old friend of mine in the liberty navy" and with that send a coded message to a certain admiral on a liberty cruiser

OOC: come Jacob lets get you involved

Post Thu Dec 30, 2004 4:10 pm

OOC: You could always take a jumphole to Magellan and help us with the nomad fleet...hint hint hint

Command Ship Moonbeam

"Lets get out of here!" Said Katok as the last sabre went up in flames.
"You're right, there are probably more where that came from."
"Jason you have permission to dock." When Jason docked, he came to the command bridge.
"Can you give us the jump hole information?" Jason uploaded it to the ships nueral net. The huge Liberty Battleship cruised through space as the corsairs followed...

Ok I need to do something with my squadron Outcast hasn't responded so I guess i'll just continue.

The Liberty Crusier flew away right after Spearhead arrived. The Outcasts flew after it, not answering Apocalypse's question.

"O well, I don't think that Battleship was that important to destroy. If it's out here in Sigma-13, it may be a decomissioned one used by Zoners or something now. Well, lets get back to Padua and report." Apocalypse said.

"Ok let's move out!" Rick said commandingly.

Spearhead went back through the jump hole and flew to Padua. There they reported where the jump hole went and what they saw there. They were told they could relax for now until they had another mission for them later.

Ok now I need to think of how to meet someone I am not hostile with.

...waiting for Triyun to post results of attack...

If running away is an option, I strongly suggest that the Merry Men do run. It's easier that way.

Post Thu Dec 30, 2004 10:34 pm

Wilde are you going to fight back against the super?

Post Thu Dec 30, 2004 10:59 pm

Why dont you just take his battle report and apply it to the letter instead of trying to change his choices at the last minutes everytime. I think it's been two days since this friken nomad fleet hasn't moved.

I said to attack the fighters. That includes super fighters. idgit

Black smiled as the transports unloaded their cargo at Los Angeles. Another victory.

A small man popped up on the screen in front of him.

"Thank you, Admiral, for your excellent services. Your payment has been deposited in your account."

Black nodded, and the screen snapped off. He ordered his task force to move out, and they slowly headed to their home base.

When they arrived, each cruiser slid into its docking bay, and the fighters docked in the various ports throughout the station. Black left his ship, and stepped out onto the deck of the station. He walked into his office, where he found that a message was waiting for him on his computer. He hit the "View Message" button, and a man popped up on the screen.

"Admiral, I am Guild Boss Janson of the Bounty Hunter's Guild. I have a job for you. We had a squadron of our finest BHG pilots defect today from our Guild. They are most likely headed to Buffalo Base in New York to sign up with the Rogues. We need them stopped, and stopped quickly. Kill them if nessicery, but they will be worth more alive. 10,000 credits each if dead, and 15,000 each if alive. Please let me know as soon as possible if you are able to do this. Janson out."

Black immediatly called back and accepted the offer.
