I don't wanna clutter the thread, but I have a very useful suggestion to keep this game more orderly. There should be a turn template that everyone would follow, something like What I Have Now:, Construction:, Actions:, Proposals/Responses:, What I Have at End of Turn:. This way everyone's posts would be in the same format so that it would be much easier to find stuff.

There actually is a turn template: place ships bought at last turn; buy ships; make alliances or trade agreements; move ships or declare battles; collect income. It's a helpful suggestion, tho.

ooh it looks like I've got a good alliance going here...
Allies: Bretonia, Liberty (when DS finally reads the **** post), GMG, and BHG.
Friendly: Kusari, IMG
Neutral: BMM
Unfriendly: The criminal element--Outcasts, Xenos, Unioners, and Rogues. As well as Corsairs and Hessians when someone takes control of those factions. sorry to the guys who own those factions, but...

1. 1 wing of VHF goes to Dresden, one to New Berlin.
2. Rhineland buys 2 gunboats, coming to the cost of 50 credits, 14 metals, 20 H-F, 6 O, 2 F
4. The Outcast's Vogtland base in Dresden has been left unprotected. No ships have been sent to guard it, so I'm just goin' to send 10 LF, 2 HF, and one gunboat to blow the bejeezus out of them. Jacob, seeing as there are no ships guarding the base, I'm assuming I can just take it over...
5. I collect 235 credits, adding the 580 left from last turn...= 815 credits.

Wilde i think yo mean Vogtland Base, and its Hessian, not Outcast.
Also, I havn't allied with Bretonia, only you. I will ally with Bretonia if they stop trading with the IMG and trade with me.
Finally, i think you forgot im giving you 10 H-Fuel per turn.

I was just stating whom I'm allied with...
and I think I took the H-Fuel into account...but just to be sure, I'll add 10 on to the final count. thanks for pointing that out.

Turn 5.

This turn I will:

A. Purchase 1 Battleship and 3 HF wings

B. Place 1 small base and 1 HF wing in the Honshu system

C. I would like to propose a trade agreement to the Unioners. We would like to obtain oxygen from you and in return we will provide you with much needed cash ( or resources if that would be preferable).


At the end of this turn I will have:

85 credits, 154 Food, 114 H-Fuel, 16 Metals, 0 oxygen, 167 Water

5 large bases, 5 small bases, 1 Cap. shipyard, 1 fighter shipyard, 3 planets

120 LF, 50 HF, 4 battleships, 2 freighters

I'm Still waiting to find out wether my tech research was successful.

Welcome REAL Freelancer to the RPG!

Wilde, Vogtland DOES have ships guarding it, if it is a NPC faction. Every NPC base gets the 5 LF for Small Station, 10 LF for Large Station, etc. Just so those bases have something to defend with. Vogtland is Large, so you might want to reconsider your numbers, since you will be fighting 10 Pirate LF wings if you choose to take it over.

(Dammit... I hate it when I write something and everything disappears. I don't have time now to rewrite all the equations, so here's the gist of it)

@ jacob: light fighter WINGS? Wouldn't it just be 10 fighters...?

Anyways, if it is, I'll wait a few turns and build up my army. As it stands now, 20 LF wings plus the gunboat are to patrol a sizeable distance from the actual base. I believe in the future I will send in a couple of dreadnoughts, cruisers, a battleship or two....it seems really weird that I'm fighting a faction who isn't being controlled by anyone currently...
