Rhineland officials are perplexed and worried at the refusal of Bretonia to accept a peace agreement at great value to their sovereign nation. With all the terms given plus a deal of commodities and credits that clearly favoured the Bretonian government, we can only wonder as to what the government would gain in the long run by denying the gift and peace agreement. Rumours abound within the Rhineland state that the King is preparing for a war on Rhineland, a war that could see perhaps see three major houses seek to destroy one.

At the very least, we can hope that Liberty accepts the proposal.

To Liberty: Please accept the proposal. To ensure trust, we will send 1 gunboat and another battleship to you.

To Bretonia: The offer still stands. I have nothing against Bretonia or its government. There is no reason for you to not accept a proposal at great value to you. Please accept the non-agression pact.

To the Corsairs: I have no intention of attacking the Corsairs at any time in the near future, and I can only hope sentiments are the same from you.

To ACWilde: I also stated earlier that we would discuss terms if Samura complied with our demands. They just satisfied the most important of the 3.

To Samura: By cutting all ties with Rheinland you have demonstrated that you are willing to take steps to repair the harm you have caused. As recognition of this effort we would now be willing to sign a non- agression pact. Remember however that your ships are still prohibited from entering Kusari space. If however you are willing to repay us (see the earlier posts with our list of demands) for the damage you have done we will permit you to transit our systems.

Announcement of the Rebirth:

A new era in the international stage has begun. The alliance with house Kusari is now completely over, though friendly relations will be maintained. I proclaim the core of a new government is beginning to rise, the day may soon be at hand when House Hispania can be proclaimed and join its neighbors, and welcome into its fold new found allies the Samura Industries. Our combined military force will maintain the Sigma Systems and Traditional Corsair spaces complete independence from all houses that wish to restrict fair flows of commerce through here.

The government intends to enact the following measures. First Kusari and Rheinland are welcomed as economic partners and as military partners in the enforcement of laws. But we will not tolerate any political meddling on eithers part.

Second we declare our intention that no foriegn house shall maintain a unsanctioned military presence in any of our systems.

Third, we shall not engage in siezure of property owned by another house in our space without probable cause, and we expect others to treat us the same way.


@ Rheinland Specifically: Do not worry, a third major power with control over the Sigma passage ways will make it much harder for everyone to attack Rheinland at once. We don't want Rheinland in sole possesion of Kusari and Rheinland space but we don't want the reverse either.

Kusari, the relationship you show to Samura will mirror the relationship the Corsairs show to you. If you restrict their economic rights within your territory I will sieze all Kusari assets in my territory.

@ Wilde: Liberty Accepts the Battleship and Cruisers and welcomes you to the our territory. I hope this is the first step to a lasting relationship. Although I am interested in your offer of something more then the Non-Aggression pact we already have in place Liberty is not yet ready to take the perverbial plung and sign a full Alliance as yet. Please keep your gunboat and extra Battleship as they will not be needed. Remember Baby Steps are what it takes to form a truely glorious Alliance.

@ Gunblade: Liberty is curious as to the intentions of Samura Industries since the Rhineland government can no longer vouch for your corperate interests. Without a major backer Liberty will have to limit your forces within our space to a small garrison force per station occupied. in the Terms of ouray base nothing larger then 5 HF Wings and 1 Gunboat and for Buffalo and Rochester nothing larger then a total force in New York of 2 gunboats and 10 LF Wings. These steps are ment to protect your instilations and relieve tensions between Our Military and your Security Forces.

@ Jacob: Liberty wish's upon the sucessful capture of Sheffield Station to transfer the instilation to your stewardship in exchage for your support in blocking the Corsairs construction of Capital Class warships on their own accord and without the support of a Major House.

@ Vorticaldwarf: I also would like to propose the transfer of Deshima Station in the Shikoku System upon its capture from the rouge Bounty Hunters Guild to the Kusari government in exchange for your agreement in blocking Cosari Captial Ship Construction.

And what in the HELL have I attacked? Any report of my ships attacking ANYTHING is an outright propaganda lie. My forces have not even been in the sigma systems. Liberty command is on thin grounds, and it had better watch it's step.

(I'm gonna start doing this every now and then. Just a catch-up on recent events, from a neutral perspective.)

The Colony News!

Is War on the Horizon? : Today, Rheinland Chancellor Wilde was reported to have gotten very shocked to hear several pieces of news. First, Bretonia declined his generous non-agression pact offer. Then, his long time ally, gunblader of Samura Industries, left him, and joined the Corsairs. With tensions the way they are after the Rheinland/Kusari conflict, a large war could be brewing.

House attacks on neutral factions continues : Recently, there has been a lot of talk about the hush-hush events in house and borderworld space regarding all of the four Great Houses attacking pirate groups and corporations. All the houses have begun a brutal campaign to forcefully invade and take over all bases in their space. Only very powerful corporations and pirate groups, such as the Outcasts, Corsairs, and the IMG, have managed to escape these attacks. More to come, as this story unfolds...

Liberty President still unsure : Liberty President John Sisko has refused to give any word in reply to an offer by House Rheinland to a non-agression pact. Similar to the Bretonian offer, Rheinland is offering huge amounts of resources and money to the house to remain neutral in the war that Rheinland thinks is brewing. Sisko's failure to immediatly respond means that the long-time ally of Bretonia could be preparing to attack Rheinland, or, he might just be taking time to consider remaining neutral. As always, the Colony News will be the first to tell you of any response by Sisko to Wilde.

Will the BHG Fight? : One question that is being asked by government and military officials all around Sirius is as to whether the BHG will get involved in any upcoming conflicts. The long-standing criminal fighting guild has been recently angered by attempts by Liberty to invade its borders, and questions are abound as to whether Guildmaster Richardson will come out to support his Bretonian allies if they go to war, or if he chooses another path. Whatever his choice, it could be cruicial to the scheme of things, since the BHG has some of the best pilots in Sirius, and, with the addition of the new Freedom Shipworks, is currently working on a naval force to compliment its fighter fleet.
