To Wilde: I don't see how you can run both Rheinland and the Unioneers without a major conflict of interest. The two factions hate each other.

To Corsairs: I would like to place a base in Sigma 13 to serve as a listening post. No millitary ships will be stationed there without prior warning.

To Samura and Rheinland: We will accept peace in the Sigma 13 system but ONLY because our allies have requested it. So I suggest you play nice with the Corsairs because if they should ever experience a change of heart, New Berlin will be attacked so fast it will make your head spin.

To Samura in particular: First you betray your homeland, then you have the gall to make demands of us!! If you ever expect to return it will be on your knees begging for mercy. if you want to come back so badly here are our terms.

A. You cut all ties with Rheinland.

B. You completely disarm and agree to build nothing larger than VHFs.

C. You make repariation payments for the bases you foolishly destoyed and the lives you threw away, of 150 credits per turn for ten turns.

Turn 17

This turn I will:

A. Place 1 large base in New Tokyo and 1 large base in Sigma 13.

B. Purchase 1 large base, 1 fighter shipyard, 1 freighter, and 1 train.

C. Still waiting on my CD tech research.

D. To the Blood Dragons: Have you forgotten so quickly who you are and where you came from? Just a short time ago we offered you a chance to change your wats and return. You proved to us that we made the right decision. But now you would deny that same chance to those who were once your allies? The GC have the chance to ally with us just as you did. The junkers are a nuisiance but the services they provide make them tolerable (and there won't be much reason for them to smuggle cardamine if the GC turn legit.). If you feel the need to expand and engage in conquest there are plenty of corporations loyal to Rheinland who have bases intolerably close to us who's bases are prime targets. As for the Red Hessians there is an old saying "The enemy of my enemy is my friend". As long as they continue to oppose Rheinland we should not harass them.

E. Send 15 units of food to the Outcasts.

At the end of this turn I will have:

0 credits, 643 Food, 531 H- Fuel, 76 Metals, 28 Oxygen, 684 Water.

7 small bases, 11 large bases, 2 capital shipyards, 1 fighter shipyard, 4 planets.

(I had to recalculate my fleet since we changed to the wing system)
131 LF wings, 53 HF wings, 1 VHF wing, 5 gunboats, 1 destroyer, 9 battleships, 2 freighters, 1 transport, 2 large transports.

Colony News Flash---

Today Kishiro Technologies announced that due to economic hardships resulting from the Rheinland conflict they are declaring bankruptcy. With the potential loss of Kusari's only major remaining trade corporation, there is speculation that the government may take controll of the company until such time as new leadership can be found. Kusari officials have made no official decision on the matter at this time.

@Kusari from Corsairs: Neg on the large base in Sigma 13. It is a neutral zone for both Rheinland and Kusari, neither is allowed bases there, redeploy it or the Liberty-Corsair peace keeping force will recieve orders to remove it for you.

@Kusari from Blood Dragons: Our forces have an obligation to the Corsairs as much as Kusari, they requested our aid in removing enemies and thus we are doing so.

Message From Liberty Peacekeeping Forces to Kusari and Samura:

With all due respect to the Shogun without written authorization your construction of a Large Station in the Sigma-13 system is in violation of our mandate. As I have requested to build such a station and as yet have not received permission to construct such a station the Liberty forces moveing into the Sigma system will not construct one for several days.

TO Samura:
Your construction of a Large Station also violates the peace accords and is hence not allowed under the current terms of a neutral (spelling sorry) Sigma-13 system. You will either present this station as a gift to the Corsairs or halt construction and recall your work teams. If not then Liberty Forces will be forced to uphold the treaty and seize the Station and hold it in neutrality reconfiguring it as a forward supply base for Liberty Forces operating out of the Sigma Cluster.

Until such as a time as the Corsairs agree to allow forgien parties to construct stations within the Sigma-13 system the Liberty Second Fleet will currently blockade any construction atempts as this is in violation of the sprit of Neutrality.(Jacob: Possibly consider seizer of the resources needed to construct the stations under the pirating rules? Although I'm not a pirate it would be the fairest way to judge if Liberty can seize the materials and credits from the construction ?)

Signed; Vice Admiral Roger Sutherland
Commander Liberty Peacekeeping Forces

Liberty, Samura had permission but they have to pay a 25% income tax on it and are not allowed to station anything stronger than an HF there.

Post Fri Nov 19, 2004 10:22 am

Confirmed: Liberty withdrawls from Samura construction site but leaves behind a Enlint Satalite to monitor comunications and ship activity in the area.

Post Fri Nov 19, 2004 10:36 am

"Understood, Liberty taskforce, would you convey to your superiors the wish of Corsair forces to operate within Liberties borders at some latter date to assail Junker bases there. Bases we capture in your space we'd give 50% income to you."

Post Fri Nov 19, 2004 11:26 am

You are granting permission to Samura to build a base in Sigma 13, but I am denyed permission? Just a few turns ago you were ready to destroy them and now you grant them a base? Who made the Corsairs grand masters of the galaxy anyway? You have no right to dictate affairs in a system to which you have no rightfull claim. Kusari more than anyone has a claim on Sigma 13 as would Samura if they had not given up their claim by betraying their house. What you are doing would be the equvalent of the UN telling the US to make the Florida Keys a neutral zone in which they were not permitted to have troops or defensive positions, and then allowing Cuba to build an airstrip there, in the middle of the Cold War. It wouldn't matter how much Cuba paid the UN each year for permission it still wouldn't negate the imminent strategic danger that such an arrangement would create.

Post Fri Nov 19, 2004 11:45 am

@ Kusari: Liberty garantees the neutrality of the Sigma-13 system. Should hostilities break out among any faction the forces in Sigma would remain neutral and would only be acting against forces that decided to engage in combat operations with in the Simga-13 system.

@ Corsairs: You are granted permission to hunt junkers within Liberty space although the Junkers base in Texas has already been taken by Liberty. Furhter discussions will have to wait until I return on Sunday Night or on monday.

Does that mean my fleet can travel through Sigma 13 as long as they don't stop there?

Post Fri Nov 19, 2004 12:52 pm

((This is what gives me legitimacy with Liberty over these systems:

Sisko:
Rheinland and the Corsairs aren't engaged in a war to conquer eachothers terroritory, its more the corsairs fighting as mercenaries for the Kusari government with the promise of terroritories in the Sigma Systems, while Rheinland is fulfilling its obligations to defend Samura who wanted to break away, so were not mortal enemies, I don't think were blood enemies, since as far as I know neither side wants the others terroritory, that would keep a non-aggression pact between the Liberty and the Corsairs.

@ Triyun: Agreed to Non-agression pact and recognize your right to selected systems you have chosen.

The Sigma systems were specifically said in this. As I said, you can gain passage THROUGH them if both Rheinland and you want to do so.

Samura is not being allowed to act as anything other than a corporation in Sigma 13. We in the spirit of reconcilation are allowing them to build up corporate offices in the Sigma system, I offered the same deal to the state-run Kishiro corporation to you via e-mail.The Corsairs are now neutral and thus this space is as well. We invited Liberty to help enforce it as well as Bretonia. The Kusari government and Rheinland having their original borders is probably best for peace anyways, it guarentees neither of you can claim grievance over lost territories.))

Post Fri Nov 19, 2004 12:59 pm

To Triyun: I don't actually controll Kishiro. I thought about asking ww2jacob to let me but after I thought about it for awhile I realized that it would set a prescedent that could get out of controll very quickly.

To Rheinland: I believe we have a war to finish. Meet me in Sigma 17 next turn. My forces will be waiting. Loser has to return home, Winner gets to choose whether to continue the offensive or to return home and rebuild.

I was wondering, if you build a base does it come into play the turn you buy it or the turn after you buy it? Also, do you need any specific bases to builds ships (like a shipyard) or can you build ships no matter what bases you own? Thanks,

roc

I'll allow fleets of the Blood Dragons and Kusari versus the Rheinland into my territories of only Sigma 13 and 17 for now, for a clean deul to do this however, if it gets out of hand, I'll consider it a breach of soviergnty and a violation of the peace keeping mandate. That would make Bretonia, Liberty, Corsairs, and IMG all obligated to declare war on the one who violates this. Not that I don't want any wars but emotions did get to high in the last one so, this treaty should keep a lid on it for now.

That fight should be pretty even, since Kusari is a bit weaker, the blood dragons which military is quite small but advanced should put it on even footing with Rheinland.

Are these terms acceptable to both. If so I'm deploying fighters to setup a mine field around the jump gates and attaching proximity mines to the trade lines that will detonate causing enough damage to the trade lanes to disrupt them from cheating

Basically send all your fleet through at once, any attempt to use the jumpgate to bring in reinforcements in the middle of the battle results in a practically instant swarm of screamer mines coming in on the fleet. (not a fun thing)

@ Samura: Provided you make peace and come to an understanding with the Kusari State we would like to begin talks of a more permanent diplomatic relationship
