I may have to edit this depending on the outcome of the Sigma 13 battle. consider this a provisional turn.

Turn 15

This turn I will:

A. place 1 battleship and 2 gunboats in the Shikoku system.

B. purchase 1 capital shipyard and 1 VHF wing.

C. I will send 15 units of Oxygen to the Outcasts.

BHG Turn 12

Credits:
425

resources:
29 O/ 52 H-F/ 46 F/ 150 H2O/ 21 M
+ 6 O/ 8 H-F/ 9 F/ 16 H2O/ 6 M
--------------------------------------------
35 O/ 60 H-F/ 55 F/ 166 H2O/ 27 M

Looking to trade several dozen units of H2O to bretonia or liberty for enough metal to build a new fighter shipyard. Am will to pay 3 H2O for 1 M. Also hoping to build defensive stations in dublin, edinburough, texas, and border world systems around both houses.

Captain of the Kep Salu

Trekkie and proud of it!

Richardson I'd trade with you but I have no freighters or Trains (hint hint. Anyone looking to sell Trains let me know I don't have the capacity to build them at the moment because I'm a little busy elsewhere.) But I grant you rights to build no more then 1 station in Texas and one in Colorado for the time being.

When I return from my National Guard Drill Sunday night i'll see what we can do. but for saturday and Sunday Jacob will be posting my turns.

I really want to post my 3rd turn but will have to wait until Jacob gets me my battle results.

Post Wed Nov 17, 2004 3:21 pm

Jacob can you post the results of the Rheinland/Smaura and Kusari/BD/Corsairs/whoever-else battle. Because I can;t take my turn until i know the results.

Most people fear the unknown.
Most people haven't met me.

the move into Honshu was NOT shown illegal, I moved my troops a page or two before the battle in Sigma 13 even began!

Just so you know, there are 400 Rhineland LF ships in Sigma 13. 100 wings.

turn 14
Rhineland locks the jump gates to Honshu (the move was not illegal...lalalala...). Forces in Honshu are 10 LF wings, 1 VHF wing, and 1 gunboat.
1. I place 3 cruisers in New Berlin

2. Rhineland buys 1 destroyer, 1 VHF wing, and 1 dreadnought.

3. @ Outcasts: Are we officially allied? or do you simply act as a Rhineland police force? If not allied, I propose an alliance.

4. nuttin to do...I REALLY need to read the rules more carefully. Clearly stated? I must be losing it, I swear.

5. Collect 220 credits, plus 1705= 1925 credits.
commodities left: 163 M, 70 H-F, 52 O, 195 F, 116 W

Forces in Sigm 13:
100 LF wings
10 HF wings
2 VHF wings
6 gunboats
5 cruisers
1 destroyer
2 battleships

grr...better allow strategy jaocb...I have such a good one for Sigma 13...

Also: Triyun, are you controlling the Blood Dragons as well? just wondering.

Post Wed Nov 17, 2004 4:52 pm

NO REINFORCEMENTS!!!!!!!
I will post the results with what you originally posted in a few minutes.
Thank you.

Post Wed Nov 17, 2004 5:05 pm

ok...*sigh*. You can take them out. But--here's the thing--I sent such a small force at first because I was confident I would be able to send reinforcements later. I should have sent a larger force (I have over 250 LF wings), but--

Also, I checked the rules carefully and there IS NOTHING about not sending reinforcements. I sent actually quite a large force afterwards only because I felt it wasn't necessary (and also from a strategic and morale-based position it helps your fight and weakens the enemy's defence) to send the force in the first attack. Frankly, if it had been made clear to me that we weren't allowed to send reinforcements, I would have acted differently.

And why shouldn't you be able to? It's been a few days since the initial attack began, why can't you send reinforcements?

This battle...is bad news. I'm considering withdrawing. @ gunblader: We should both withdraw, regroup, and attack at a different point. , say. Because my original force actually isn't that big, and now I can afford to send more. So withdrawal sounds likely.

Post Wed Nov 17, 2004 5:30 pm

Well, you had better make a decision quick, because the battle results go up in a few minutes. If you haven't officially withdrawn by then, then the battle will count.

The no reinforcement rule was a part of the first RPG, but I will check the rules. If it's not in there, then I will allow you to withdraw, since it was my own mistake. But, if I find it, then the battle counts.

Post Wed Nov 17, 2004 5:33 pm

Fine, Rhineland withdraws from Sigma 13. I pull all my forces to New Berlin. Sorry, gunblader, but it is necessary for the health of the alliance that this battle is avoided completely. It wouldn't need to be if the rule about reinforcements was actually in the rules...

If it turns out it isn't, I should be able to edit my initial army force.

You were right.
No rule regarding that.
*Bangs head on computer*
Well, I guess I will edit it in.
Sorry about another rule change. So, from now on, one a battle is declared, it is SET. The attacker may retreat within one real day of the declaration, and then they are stuck with it. Sorry for the inconvenince.

Post Wed Nov 17, 2004 5:44 pm

So, in that case, does that mean I can continue the battle with the reinforcements I sent? cause if not I retreat to Honshu.

Post Wed Nov 17, 2004 5:47 pm

Sisko- You battle results:
California vs. Planetform-
Victory
You lost 8 LF wings
Texas vs. Junkers-
Victory
You lost 2 LF wings
Magellan vs. Hackers
Victory
You lost 1 LF wing
Colorado vs. Xenos
Victory
You lost nothing. (I always knew those Xenos were God-awful pilots! )

Sigma-13-
Rheinland/Samura Retreat

Did I miss anyone?

Post Wed Nov 17, 2004 6:01 pm

hey...withdrawal, not retreat. Chancellor Wilde never retreats... in this case, I withdraw all forces to Honshu, and send *ahem* 70 LF wings, 3 HF wings, 2 VHF wings, 2 cruisers, 3 gunboats, 3 destroyers, and a battleship (the force that should have acted as reinforcements) to Honshu. All newly arrived forces in Honshu will proceed to New Tokyo, to battle the Kusarian heathens there as we see fit. Order of attack: Narita depot, Planet New Tokyo. If both bases fall, New Tokyo, too, will fall under control of the Rhineland-Samura Empire.

That would be...100 LF wings, 10 HF wings, 2 VHF wings, 6 gunboats, 5 cruisers, 3 destroyers, 2 battleships.

gunblader, I suggest withdrawing your troops to Honshu as well. We can both attack New Tokyo together.

Wilde, I still don't think your Honshu movement was legal.
I'll check.
