Seeing as it looks like its gunblader and me against Kusari, the Outcasts, and the Corsairs, it would be good if you took Bretonia or Liberty and helped us in the fight...

To Rheinland:

I am not just getting Samura's property arbitrarily even though I techincally could since Samura was part of Kusari. I am offering them a chance to surrender their bases, which they can't use if they leave anyway, peacefully and without bloodshed. If they refuse then those bases will be considered hostile and will be destroyed or taken by force. If they cooperate they will be permitted to resume travel through our systems and trade routes. If they refuse we will consider them hostile invaders and will close our borders and destroy any Samura vessel found within them.

@ gunblader: Rhineland is notoriously short on H-Fuel supplies, and need H-Fuel desperately in order to fight Kusari with you. We are willing to give you 25 credits per turn in return for 15 H-F per turn. These terms are negotiable. You will still retain access to our shipyards, and may our alliances prosper against the barbarian hordes of Kusari.

uhh, lessee. how about NO, all right? just no. We had a contract that YOU proposed and I agreed to. A truce clearly defines the ending of all military action against the opposing faction even if an ally takes up arms against that faction. In that case, the allied faction must stand down. Those are the terms of a truce, terms which I agreed to. I cannot attack you, you cannot attack me. Therefore you are not at war with Samura either because you are not at war with me.

The only reason for this war (not that I'm unhappy that it happenned, SOMETHING had to take place) is that Kusari is still pissy over events that happened years ago under a different rule. So we will not throw out Samura industries.

@ gunblader: Is it all right if I give you plans of attack over email? I don't want to post them here.

Our word to our allies overrides our word to those who we are at war with, a truce is only a ceasation of hostilities not a end of a war. That would be a peace treaty, little lesson in diplomacy for you. International Politics happens to be my area of study. I never agreed not to take up arms against you if you declared war on Kusari, I merely agreed to halt action along the Rheinland Northern Border which was a source of conflict in the game. While the rest of the houses have treated our attempt to legitimize with hostility, the Kusari reached out to them, the Corsairs are loyal to friends, and they are very much our friends. We did not wish a war upon Rheinland, but you asked for it, do not presume to dictate the policy of this government to us. War is on between Rheinland and the Corsairs as long as hostile action is taken against Kusari.

This is an outrage! You proposed a truce and we accepted, therefore stand down. How can you call a faction you have fought against for so long a friend??! Be wise, and for your sake do not seek to pit yourself against the two most powerful factions in the game!

(To clarify: Samura is powerful because it has the most access to the greatest amounts of H-Fuel and Metals, and so it has the power to build the largest in-game military. I am powerful because I have currently the largest military and also control Samura's access to Rhienland capital ships)

I need someone to intervene in this. This is getting out of hand.
