Oh, and some diplomacy...

Letter to the Shogun of Kusari:

Sir, we at the IMG have been the victims of increasing Outcast attacks in the Tau System Cluster. We humbly request that you spare some of your navy to protect Falkland Base and Java Station in the Tau Systems. In return, you will be given 50 F-Credits (Faction-Credits, i.e., the unit of money we're using), favorable trade agreements (that is to say, you get free metals from us) and our respect and alliance.

Signed, Guildmaster Arilias of the Independant Miners' Guild.

To Arrillias:

I think we are restarting but just in case...

We value IMG as an valuable trading parterner and will do all we can to help. Due to the situation with the unioners our ships are stretched thin but we will send experienced pilots to train your forces and fly missions until you can defend yourselves.

Actually, there's no need to start over, since the argument was primarily about commodities and they were irrelevant on the first turn, and the above proposition stands regardless of whether or not we move.

Message to Kusari:
The unioneers are not interested in fighting any of Kusari Forces or coorporations. if you agree to treat us with neutrality then we shall NOT attack any of your coorporations. If you do not believe this, i'll will write the next letter to you in blood.

Red Hessians abandon plans for Omega-7 attack.

Instead, we'd like to propose an alliance with the IMG. If you give us 10 food a turn, we will give protect you militarily, and give you 5 metals a day. You dont have to defend us, but it would be appreciated.

How about it?

To Unioners: Interested in forming an alliance? Military aid for each other, and landing rights at bases.

uhh...yup, we're attacking Richardson too. It's the terms of the contract!
Jacob, please take out the commodities! PLEEEASSSE??

my turn for today:
1. battleship Enkidu and 1 gunboat to Hamburg, 1 gunboat to Dresden.
2. Rhienland buys 1 dreadnought. I'm saving up for a capital shipyard.
3. We offer...I'll wait the rest of the day and see what opens.
4. Movin' the battleship Enkidu, 2 gunboats, a cruiser, and 3 HF to Manhattan. And we declare war on Richardson.
5. collecting 250 credits...I had 225 i think last turn, -50 for the dreadnought +250=425 credits.

So...was my research of revolutionary bombers a success or a failure? If a success, I research VHF, and if a failure, I'll research rbs again.

will anyone give me food???? i get 23 metals a day, and will trade some for food. it doesnt have to be a contract, a lump sum will do...

Hmmmm....

If you offered me H-Fuel I might consider it. I believe I get 17 food per turn (15 if Bret accepts my proposal). The fact that you are a criminal organization is problematic though.

Edit:
Wilde - You are not a Revolutionary faction. You can't research bombers. End of story. (Unless the rules have changed without anyone telling me)

Bret - I don't know if you'll read this but we still need to come up with some sort of way to deal with the commodities. Since you have a presence in Dublin, Leeds, Manchester and New London I'd say you can have half of all the resources produced there at a cost of, say, 15 credits per turn. (Where the amount is odd I get the bigger portion though, since I'm a house and you're just a puny corporation )
I think this is fair...
New London - 1 Food, 2 Metals
Leeds - 3 Metals, 3 H-Fuel, 1 Food
Manchester - 2 Metals, 2 Water, 1 Oxygen
Dublin - 8 Metals, 1 Oxygen
Totals - 2 Food, 3 H-Fuel, 15 Metals, 2 Oxygen, 2 Water

Anyone who cares - Bretonia needs more H-Fuel. We only get 13/10 per turn and are looking to trade for more. Any interested parties, please contact me.

Message to the Leader of the Red Hessians:

We thank you for calling off your attack on Omega-7, but regret to inform you that we cannot supply you with the amount of food you requested at this time. The IMG is in a similar position, with all the food we own being produced by our few farms on Cambridge. We can spare half of our food income (5 a turn), and in return request only 10 F-Credits per delivery, and your alliance. Miners need to stick together.

(Rough translation of proposal: each turn we send you 5 food, and you send us 10 credits)

Signed, Guildmaster Arilias of the Independant Miners' Guild

Message to the Shogun of Kusari:

We thank you for agreeing to our proposal of alliance. We have transferred the down payment to you, and you will of course receive favorable trade agreements.

(Rough translation: The IMG has give 50 credits to Kusari, and will now give Kusari a free 10 metals every turn)

Signed, Guildmaster Arilias of the Independant Miners' Guild

"The IMG is in a similar position, with all the food we own being produced by our few farms on Cambridge."

*Clears throat loudly* The Cambridge system belongs to Bretonia. (That would be me.) If you want to utilize some of its resources you must get my authorization first.

@ Wilde's post below - No worries, mate. The rules are rather dense so missing a couple can be excused. And you can't give supplies to the Hessians! They're Rhienland terrorists! You want metals? I've got more metals than you could shake a stick at. How are you for H-Fuel? I need some.

Outcast, I'm in need of metals, so I'll trade food. 10 for 10 per day?

Edit:
Codename- Sorry, I must have missed that rule...I thought it was that all factions that are not revolutionaries must research the bombers in order to attack stations...

Anyways, in that case I research VHFs.

The Cambridge system belongs to you, but I have bases in it; ergo, I have access to the system's resources.

I interpret the list as a "per-base" resource counter. That means you get one instance of each for each base you control in the system. It's the only way to prevent less powerful factions that don't have the resources to control entire systems from disappearing completely.

Edit: Regardless, it doesn't matter; even if we use Codename's system, the IMG is a Bretonia group with a pre-existing relationship with the Bretonia government. The problem with the current system is that we don't seem to have any of the trading arrangements that the original was based on.

codename- I did offer you a deal on the last page, maybe you missed it...anyways, the deal was 5 H-Fuel for 10 metals per day...I can raise it to 7 for 10 if you want . The reason I was trading with the Hessians was out of interest for the people of Rhienland, but that doesn't seem like such a good idea anymore...anyways, I'd be glad to trade with Bretonia.

@ Omega Chief- well? what do you think of the peace treaty?

Day 1 is over.
Any Day 2 stuff posted now is revelent.

I will decide the battle ASAP.

Wilde-You cannot research Bombers. They are only avaliable to revolutionaries. I will decide your VHF soon, though.

The commods have been fixed for about 24 hours, so since they are now required, check out the edited list. They ARE staying now, NO STARTING OVER. Let the game continue, since nothing SHOULD be affected.
