Liberty Navy has begun to build new ships for it's marine corps:

VICTORY-CLASS DROPSHIP SUPPORT SHIP:
The Victory-class dropship is designed to support Liberty Marine Corps' ships and personnel.
It is 1.5 km long and it can carry a full bridgade of marines(10314 troops). It has eight docking
bays(not hangars) on it's sides. Each is designed to dock one Guardian-class dropship.
The hangar, which is located on the lower part of the ship, houses smaller Invader and Higgins
class dropships and 60 Intruder-class fighters, which are optimized for combat in the athmosphere.
The Victory carries light armament, 150 flak laser cannons.

GUARDIAN-CLASS DROPSHIP.
The Guardian-class dropship is largest of Liberty dropships. It has it's own capability for long
range independent travelling, and it's size makes it's dropship classification questionable.
It is 300 meters long and 40 meters wide(has wings). It can carry 1680 marines or 20 VSV's.
It has 20 flak laser cannons on it's upper part and another 20 on lower part. It has total 20
laser cannons, which are designed to provide support for disembarkation, on it's wings.

INVADER-CLASS DROPSHIP.
The Invader-class dropship transports Liberty Marines where Overlord is too large to go to.
It is 55 meters long, and can carry 336 marines. It has 14 laser cannons for fire support
(looks bit like Mi-26)

HIGGINS-CLASS DROPSHIP.
The Higgins-class is the smallest Liberty dropship. It is small and agile, and due to it's
size and agility it is often used to transport marines from one place to another in the planet
It can carry 48 marines, and has 6 laser cannons, four of them in front of the ship and two
in turrets, one in each side. It also has two missile launchers. It is 25 meters long.
(looks like those Republic air transports from SW:Episode 2)

MCR-16 MARINE CORPS RIFLE
MCR-16 is LMC's(Liberty Marine Corps) standard issue firearm. It can fire either one pulse-type
round of energy, or a burst of three energy pulses. It can be equipped with variety or equipment,
such as scopes and laser pointers. Also, an electric stun gun can be attached to this weapon.

EMP cannon developed.
Liberty scientists have developed an EMP cannon that can be used for disabling enemy ships. It fires
an EM pulse that disables enemy ships' systems. It can be installed to ships size of gunboat and above.

Picard, Liberty already has an Overlord-class of ships (they're a type of dreadnaught; the most notable is the Missouri). Find something else to call them (for the record, "Eagle" and "Monument" are also both taken.

Refugees Arrive at Acadia! Civilians, fleeing the conflict in the Border Worlds, have arrived at Acadia Station. While both Axis and Alliance citizens were permitted to enter the shelters in New Columbia, Alliance refugees passing through New Greece and Iota-4 were carefully monitored and protected by Ageira Security Officers. As of yet the number of civilians currently being housed on Acadia is unknown, but is believed to number in the low thousands.

Security Drones Produced! Workers on Marathon Station have successfully completed the Prototype Installation Defense Drone MkI. This robot is roughly humanoid, but its arms have been merged into a Detroit Perforater. They carry advanced AI systems based loosely on pulse-mappings of human brains. The prototype is being brought to the ATS Destiny for testing.

New Fighter in Design! Researchers at Halifax Shipyards, in response to increasing aggression from the Liberty government, have begun research on a new form of space superiority fighter, known as the Soldier.

New Weapons in Development: Detroit Munitions has announced production of the Detroit "Sword" Multipurpose Rifle. These weapons use a combination of gyroscopes and stabilizers to enable them to switch between the functions of assault rifle, handheld blaster, snipe rifle, rocket launcher, and energy blade. "Don't know. They've got at least twenty, thirty guards there, though. They say its for own protection, that they've got some hyper-dangerous project going on. Kind of makes you wonder why their guns are pointed at the DOOR."

One of the other researchers looked up. "Yeah, I ran into that blockade on my off-hours last cycle. I asked the executive what was going on and you know what they said? They said, 'Okay, kid, where'd you get the cardamine?'"

"You mean they won't even admit it's there?"

"That's exactly what I mean. Something strange is going on in Lab 4-Delta."

This had been a hard day. After infiltrating the place as a new rectrut from the refugee's agent gamma had succesfuly found out the most classifed project was in lab delta 4. After over hearing a conversation about the main entrence being blocked he had infiltrated the air vents.
Now he closed on the vent cover only to find it was blocked by a securaty feild. So he withdrew a small fusion charge and plabeted it next to the vent crawled back and detonated it and rushed into the lab with his blaster raised............

Bretonian diplomat to fly to Manhatten to discuss Liberty and Ageira difficulties.

Following recent reports on Liberty/Ageira tensions, our King plans to send one of his diplomats to Planet Manhatten to extinguish the spark before it becomes a flame.

Bretonia, recently entered into an alliance with Ageira, want nothing more than the well being of a corporation, who, if did not exist, would surely weaken the fabric of Sirius.

Summary:
The battle took place in the open space between FP1 and Sprauge.
The Corsair Battleships formed up and moved towards the BHG fleet. They exchanged fire, and the vast numbers of the BHG fleet destroyed all of the Corsair capital ships. Then, the AAFs fired at the Corsair LFs, doing minimal damage. THe BHG fleet fired again, this time at the Corsair cruisers, who were trying to flank them. All Corsair cruisers were destroyed. Then, a fight began between the Corsair and BHG fighters. The superior weapons, numbers, and shields of the BHG Great Whites enabled them to have a crushing victory.

SHOOTING AT A MALL IN MANHATTAN-8 PEOPLE KILLED!
Today a gunfight resulting in eight fatalities and at least 16 injuries erupted at Eastern Center mall
in the planet of Manhattan. The gunfight started when a group of five men went to a household robot
demonstration in the mall and opened fire on the stage. Soon after that, the mall's security teams
intervened. 6 civilians and two mall security officers died in the gunfight, and 16 people, 12 of them
civilians and four of them security personnel, injured. Also, eight robots that were used in the demon-
stration were destroyed by the attackers. A previously unknown terrorist group calling itself"The New
Luddite Army of Sirius" has claimed responsibility from the attack. The name of the group refers to
ancient Earth group "Luddites" who were an anti-machine resistance group during the Industrial Revolution.
Authorities have not commented the attack.

Today a Liberty Navy ship discovered a new solar system between Liberty and Rheinland space. The ships
found the system when they came in contact with a previously unknown jump hole that led to the system.
The system contains one habitable planet, that has been named Planet Quantico, and three unhabitable
planets, two of them of gaseous form and according to estimates, rich in mineable gases. The three
planets have been named Richmond(gas), Roanoke(athmosphereless rock. hellish temperatures and Tulsa(gas).
Also, there is a moon orbiting Quantico. According to scans and exploration teams, the moon is entirely arctic,
there are continuous snowstorms and temperatures are from -50 to -70. The moon has been named San Quentin.
The research team has deemed the system a good place for key military functions. There are several asteroid
fields and nebulas in the system, but they do not seem to be dangerous. The system has been named Virginia
system.
