@Argh.
Thanks for the suggestions on the glass for the Bird of Prey set. I wasn't very happy with the way it turned out myself. I tried the DcDtOcOtTwo and it seemed to help out, but still didn't get it quite right.

@Everyone
I have also been working on some other stuff and have been doing a lot of coding and such so those ships will be something I'll revisit later. I got the Merchant series from page 4 of this post all remodeled (much lower poly count now) and am fine tuning the size and hardpoints for the game. Here's a couple pics.

Here is one of Arton Alpha's low poly ships he gave me to play around with. I think this ship actually has less verticles than most of the Freelancer weapons.

I don't know what he'll end up naming it but I think it should be called the Armadillo Freighter.

If anyone would like to make these files into ship for freelance. have at it. I like to make models and I put them into milkshape format. if you do use them give me credit for the models and shoot me an e-mail so I can down load it.

Very cool ship designs. I really like the BOB fighter. I also like the X3. It would make a pretty intimidating capitol ship.
As for getting them into freelancer, check out the Drizzt's tutorial on making models in milkshape. It covers the creation of hardpoints. After that, all you gotta do is change the shiparch.ini file to point to your CMP and MAT file instead of one of the in game ships. As for getting it to hold all the right guns and stuff, you can find out how to do that in the editing tutorial area. It's really quite easy once you go through the tutorials.

Thanks the X3 is my best one (I think) but i also like the UD1
The funny thing is the UD started out for Ugly Duck it was pritty bad when i started but in the end it turned it very nice. I desided to keep the name To remind me you never know what you Gona get till the end.

To all shipmakers/watchers of this thread:

This thread has reached well over 400 posts, thanks to all that contributed to make ths thread as large as it's become. However, we don't like to keep threads that are too large in the archive. So, before this thread becomes too large, I will lock it up and start a new thread. I will keep this thread archived and stickied so it can still be accessed, and I will link to this thread in the new one. I won't do this for a while yet, as I'd like to give people a chance to see this message. Keep in mind, nothing is changing, just moving onto a new thread

Here's a cool idea.
Instead of making completely new ships, why not make a model of what you think the next generation of some in-game ships would look like. Here's my version of the new bounty hunter class ship.

That billboard is a brilliant but barmy idea, adverts in space , just the sort of thing to brighten up some dull systems.

Thanks to all that contributed to this thread. As I stated a couple days ago, I will be locking this thread up to avoid having threads that are too big floating around.
