Hang in there mate. The wait will be worthwhile. I loved Privateer and Freelancer is about 10 times better. But then again if you are one of them rushers...you may not like it. A very large part of the enjoyment of Freelancer for me is the vastness of the gaming universe. I love exploring and finding stuff.
There is absolutely no way to map out all the systems and explore the hidden secrets in the game without putting a lot of game play hours into it. I really do not care if it takes me until this time next year to do that....or longer.

Right on WhiteTiger; I got the game on March 6th and i am enjoying it to the max. For me the vastness of the universe and the pace at which you can play it is just awesome. Lots has been said already, but let's just say that i have a game that delivers. I know i will be playing that game for a long time.

Cause that date is very debatable. Every reputable store that Ive checked has said the 24th of March. However every reputable online source (except one) has said the 11th. So who knows, just don't get to excited about the 11th.





I don't really run this place but I have an understanding with the people who do.

How many lancers we got anyway in Aus? Everyone i know is either a UT player or a Quake/CS player. I never fround anyone at LANS in sydney who likes the WC line up of games or privateer line. Heres to hoping gamearena or IPGN put a server up.

Regrettably I was one of those rushers. I didn't realise that there were only 13 missions until after I'd done them all and then came here to find out if that was it or not.

Had I known I'd have paced myself more. I'm disappointed that it was over so soon. I'm not blaming DA, just myself. :

My preorder from GP Store in NZ says the 11th March release date,if its not here by say the 14th at the latest Ill be an unhappy camper.Come on guys, your joking that it could be later than that ,why cant they have a world wide release date?

I pre-ordered FL from gamesmarket a few months ago. They still have the 11th up as release date. As it takes a day or two to get over here to WA I'll prolly get it about the 13th. Still faster than ordering stuff from Perth

As far as rushing through it goes, I don't think I'll have a problem. I'm just up to the last part of the main story in Morrowind!

I'm a big fan of the old wing commander line (especially privateer ). Kind of a shame it had to end *sob* still starlancer was good, don't know how many times i played through the campaign of that, just so I could try out the ships that are mostly ignored first time you go through

Yeah when I preordered from EB they told me March 24th, but that was while online sources were still saying March 24th (including here). Well I guess I'll just wait for that phone call (Who am I kidding first break I get on Tuesday I'm going to pop down to EB to see if it's in )

lol thats pretty much what i am doing here, come tuesday i'll be ducking into the gamesman or EB in depending where i am at the time and see if the game has come in.

Sweet! I called EB today, and the guy said that the computer had the date for arrival on Monday! I may be getting this game a day earlier!
