Even though it is now Friday in Aus, I picked up Freelancer last night from EB at Warringah Mall in Sydney. It costs $89.95.
For anyone else in Aus, I would assume that most if not all other EB's around Aus will have it on the shelf now.
Played FL for 4.5 hrs last night and up to mission 3 in the storyline. I would agree with some of the other posters here that when you get the game, TAKE YOUR TIME with the story-driven missions.

is ment to arrive on monday.. wish i didnt order it thru the mail now, i could have got it from EB a few damn days ago..
