Beware though, the File Front servers (even P2P) seem to be fairly unstable right now. My DL dropped out a lot. Also, I'm not sure if it is the Gamespy one that requires a code or not.

I'm getting it with constant 82 kb/s and 20 mins to go (using Download Accelerator). No probs so far. I just hope that demo's gonna work.

Been trying the Peer2Peer. It starts at some 800kps, DLs like 6 MB in 2 seconds, then goes down progressively to about 5 kps.

This has got to be the most fustrating thing ever.

972kps, 912kps, 1.00mbps, 954kps, 865kps, 783kps, 665kps, 584kps, 451kps, 320kps, 276kps, 111kps, 80kps, 43kps, 12kps, 5kps, .5kps. 0.0kps.

I get like 15 mb done by then too.

DOH! The Filefront copy needs the Gamespy/Fileplanet key to launch. Anyone wanna give out their keys?

A friend of mine works for MS so I'll be getting the full thing later tonight when they get off work.

Ok... that's what happens when you "rush" into things (no pun intendend

). Somehow my Download Accelerator was pointed to a drive with insufficient diskspace. When i noticed the mistake it was already too late and building the file failed. I had to start all over, 26 minutes to go.

EDIT: that fileplanet key thing makes it even worse. ARRGH!!! Well, i'm gonna finish downloading anyway, perhaps someone gives us the key. *wink, wink, nudge, nudge*

Xgirl, are they just lifting the unique key to play? Or do we have to re-download the entire demo again?

It'd be a shame to waste the already spent bandwidth downloading the game demo again.
