I have just looked at the site of netquartz - the developers of the f***ing security software that keeps the trial from working.
Seems like we just need an original freelancer.exe of the free demo!!
Maybe even an .exe from someone who has onced started the demo will work - depend on wether the software requires to be connect to the internet just once or every time you start the demo.
If it is just once, maybe someone could provide the exe anywhere?!?!

You mean: wait ten minutes, then stay in line for 200 minutes and then download for another 90 minutes.

Let's look at the bright side: every paying fileplanet subscriber who is downloading the demo is a potential paying customer for the real thing. Perhaps Freelancer really will revive the space genre after all.
