Check back with FilePlanet around 8PM PST tonight, they are releasing the demo to ALL (non-subscribers and subscribers alike) for FREE tonight. So, cheer up! You WILL be playing FREELANCER this weekend!

And yes, this is the official word from Microsoft (I was in the phone call making it happen!)

The Fileplanet demo is AWESOME! Just finished playing it 4 hours straight and I finally got level 2. However the demo starts displaying advertisements when you get close to level 2 and when you finally hit it the game ended.

I'm gonna fire it back up and see if I can keep playing. Muahahaha.

CONFIRMED: FIleplanet demo ENDS once you attain Level 2! If you want to keep playing after that you need to begin a new game. Just a warning

8pm in PST...isn't that 4am in GMT? But if there's a chance I could get the demo early, then I'll happily stay up.

Besides, (at the time of me writing this,) I only have to wait like 2 and a half hours.

Actually...in a way it almost doesn't seem right. A game that I've been waiting for since late January last year...and I might be playing it in just a couple of hours. And to think I was all excited about getting it on Monday...but this is even better.

Just because they will be releasing it for free tonight, doesn't mean you will get it. When all the queues are maxed at 300/300 for several hours or whatever the number is, then you be crying for mirrors!
