That PR demo is for retail staff only. Also the story mode only goes thru mission 10, then ur just checking out the sites It also contains 4 various saves the highest (no story) is lvl35 Great way to see into the future. Reserve this game!

Just got my hands on a copy (I won't say where but it starts with a G and they own another gamestore chain that starts with a B ) . Guy gave me the "I'm not supose to do this, but ...." speach, but they had 3 copies and none of the other employees were interested in the other 2 copies. I gladly took one off his hands!

On a side note, he said they were not even accepting pre-orders for FL yet (next week) and kept insisting that they wouldn't get the game in the store until April...even after I pointed out the March 4th release date on Microsoft's promo material... I don't mean to offend anyone here, but sometimes I wonder where they get these empolyees. I really couldn't tell if he was trying to BS me or he seriously believed the game would not be in the stores 1st week of March. I mean we ARE in Mississippi but the UPS trucks only get here a few days late . Oh well, I guess I can't bad mouth him too bad.

when I asked what he thought of the demo he indicated it was just a promotional video. ...he obviously hasn't even loaded up his copy or even looked at the flyer yet! Again, I have to wonder.

Can't they just make it a demo so we can all have a sneak preview. If the filename is "Freelancer BETA COPY Demo.zip" or whatever form it comes in, nobody can moan even if they don't read manuals. I think now it's completed and it's being shipped, maybe TLR could ask if they can release the Beta as a DemoBeta to all those who have waited here so long. Posters here can use their username and password to grab it but it should also relate to the number of posts or current rank to stop newbies signing up just to dl the demo.

Everyone knows the filename they have to find to unzip/unrar it.

Something I dont get is why did MS even bother locking it at mission 10? There are only 13 mission in it anyways so that is still most of the game. Why not lock it at mission 4 or something.

Cuz it wasnt meant to be out to the public. Just to employees at stores so they can get to know a lot about the game to sell it.

lol, I got the whole "I'm really not supposed to do this, so don't say anything" speech too. The one where I live didn't have it in the computer either but the employee just rang it up as general merchandise. I also wonder where they get some of these guys. I think if I wasn't so close to graduating from college I would apply to work there, I wonder if they get good discounts.
