Still I think I might get rid of my 800 and pick up a 2ghtz just in case, i'm well past my upgrade date anyway.

This is the first game i'll buy in ages, and i'll buy a new computer just to play it.


(on a tight budget though, so i'll buy a K7S5A board with a XP2000+ so i can stick my old 1GB SDRAM into it. together with my GF4-TI4200SE, i should be able to play at a reasonable res. (at least better than with my current PIII-500))

The requirements are pretty light, but I can tell you that if you have a great system, you won't be disappointed either. Since I haven't been attending my "computer upgraders anonymous" meetings, I've again spent too much money and upped my system. I can tell you though, that with a Radeon 9700 pro, and the Direct3D settings maxxed out, the game looks SPECTACULAR! So, both systems, those that just make the requirements, and uber systems, will benefit!

I have the exact same card...gotta love ATI for this one

Anyway, what res are u using, also directx and driver would be nice to know.

I have DX9 installed using the latest 3.01 drivers from ATI

those look like minimums to me what are the recs for say 1280 by 720 my set up is: (or will be by the time i get FL)
p4 1.6ghz
geforce 4 ti 4200 64 mb 4x agp
512 mb ddr pc 2100 RAM
thats all the important stuff

1.0 gig of SDRAM
GeForce 3, with 64 mb of ram, with the latest drivers
and a Sound Baster live with environmental audio to top it off

I actually thought that Decker's voice over made the film better. Gave it a more kinda "gumshoe" classic detective feel.

I think that verrsion had the ridiculous ending, tho, where it cuts to them driving away out in the country. It's alot better/bleak/stark where they rush to the lift, and the door closes... and then that's it.

I think i might need to get more ram looking at every ones specs....i've only got a teeny weeny 256!!
