Maybe its just me, but I think freelancers dying. I stopped playing way back when I got back into BGII again.

The best thing about FL mods, is that I had no clue about other game mods. It sparked me into looking for BGII mods, which are great, so kudos to those guys back then (chips, griskard,etc. were among those)

oh and for those who dont know, BGII is Baldurs Gate II, a D&D game. *what a geek i am*

It's been some time, that i have read a topic here, (#@* , i dont remember which) where a member of this community claimed that his brother has some sort of a connection with the ppl developing the new FL.
Besides that, he said, he has seen some screenshot of the game.
Now, if this was just a show-off, i dont know.
I simply hope it is true.

That was your general bs post, just to get us all worked up. We hacked his system a couple of times and obtained some compomising video material of him and a sheep and he promised us he would never do it again.

As for now, nobody has said anything about a sequal or add on or anything of such kind. Just wait, it might happen, it might not.

The same sort of discussion was (or still is, I guess) going on the Star Trek Armada forums about a rumored ST Armada 3. From what I've read in these (and those) forums, I wouldn't discount a sequel, but then I wouldn't hold my breath either. Chances are based on the fan base that there might be a chance for Freelancer 2 (or whatever they'll decide to call it), but an Armada 3 due to the decreasing fan base is out of the question. Sales for both games have been moderate to good, however neither hit a homerun. It is the existing fan base that they will look at for a new project because it is an indicator of potential sales.

Well, what I am reading here is: 50/50 chance that there will be a sequel. (Glass half full optimism)

So I may speak for all of us, DIGITAL ANVIL: could you please provide some info if there is anything happening with Freelancer 2? We'll love ya for any kind of tidbit, teaser, anything...

Hey how about Stralancer 2 and continue that story line from the earth side of the story for a spell and come back to freelancer and meet earthlings again for another great war or two... The possibilities are interesting eh? (just have some sort of expansion for Freelancer to keep the interest.)

I remember a post from a DA rep saying that they may release an expansion pack that deals with the trade model, that was last year.
DA pre-release advert hype mentioned that there would be a dynamic trade model featured in the game. I guess this was another thing that was dropped, just like radar display, joystick, the rest of the storyline, etc.

It would be nice if somebody connected with DA could comment one way or another if the project has been dropped for good.

If I'm not mistaken some of those articles in German fan sites was due to an April 1st prank started in TLR. I managed to get google to translete those sites for me.

It seems like the joke went a bit further than expected...

BTW I really wanna see FL2. I have beaten the campaing like 5 time-ish or so now :/ I'm starting to feel bored... Juni is still as lovely as ever... too bad if only she'd say something new :/
