{Software} Freelancer Explorer - System Editor
Here you can find news, get help and comment about all the Mods and tools for Freelancer created by =EOA= Players Consortium, like the ?Freelancer SDK?, the ?Freelancer Explorer? and the ?Real Space Mod?
ok, this file just is not on my computer anywhere.
can someone point me to a place that has ATL71.DLL for XP for download? I can find countless MENTION of it all over the web, but not a single blasted download.
heck if anyone can email it to me that'd be good too.

hey snowcat are you sure it is ATL71.dll and not ATL70.dll??? cause i have searched all over my computers directories and thats the only file even close to what you described....could be wrong but if it is leave a thread and i will send it to ya
check this look in the ..program files\freelancer explorer\ ...directory i see the file...ATL71.dll there.....if you don't have it...try a clean re-install of the original FLE program....and if that odes not work i can send you a working copy

Guess what???!!!???!!!???!!! My patrols work! I decided to try one out to check if it crashed,and it didn't! Yay!!!!!!!!
Edit: Spoke too soon: when you add a second patrol of exactly the same sort, it crashes. Sorry: ANY second patrol: it crashes

Hey zack, i have been doing a lot of research on your patrol issues....if you could send me a copy of the zone/area in question i can help you out....i had teh same problem when i tried to add a navy patrol which worked out perfectly...the the second i tried to add a police patrol CRASHOLA!!!!
took a lot of trial an error.....but it is resolved..so send me a copy of the file and i will look at it..

hey, i know this is probly the wrong fourm to ask this. but when i launch freelancer with the excelcia rpg mod v2.00 it kicks me to the desktop and locks up the game. also i tryed it with no saved game files and it still crashed, is there anything i can do to fix this? also, i am sorry if i posted in the wrong fourm also.

I Installed it. Used it for 12 hours. Then it was doing wierd things. So i unintalled freelancer, and FLMM, and FE (freelancer Explorer). The i reninstalled freelancer, then mod manager, the FE. I make my own mod foloder in FLMM, and start up FE. It asks me if i want to work on a curent mod. So i have clicked both yes and no and still the same thing shows up.

The i hit the OK button, get to work. and i noticed that the factions wouldent show up anymore. We all know you cant do much without a faction in there. So i did the same process over again of reinstalling it all. That dident work.
Could anyone tell me whats up with it?

A couple of problems I've found...
Some may have been reported before, but here they are:
1) Entries get repeated every time you re-edit a file.
(Usually the last entry made gets repeated-IE 2 identical lines.)
2) Adding a new base messes up the Market_Ships.ini file.
(Any previous new bases get an extra oe_package line, and after a while, you get lines of numbers, without a package type.)
3) Robots used for the "Space Costume" entry, for bases is messed up.
The entry should be: space_costume = , robot_body_e, but is often space_costume = 0, robot_body_e.
The "0" causes an error that occassionally causes a CTD.
(And it doesn't matter which robot, A-E.)
4) Having problems with Nebulae.
Setting a "Fog" color, causes CTD's.
Haven't been able to get one to work without crashing.
5) Bases in the Universe.ini file messed up.
FLE places bases at the bottom of the file, as an append would.
Some bases don't work unless they are placed Before the System entries.
6) Adding to, or Editing, Zones is messed up.
Adding to, or Editing, an existing Zone doesn't show all of the current settings.
So, upon editing, all of the old settings are reset.
7) Editing infocards is messed up.
If you try to edit an old infocard, it simply makes a new one, instead of allowing you to change the old one.
Changing, or Creating names.
If a name is being used by FL, FLE points to that name, and doesn't create an entry in the dll.
Particularly annoying when, as I did, I named a jumphole Manchester, but I got Manchester Jump Hole, which I didn't want.
So, modifying the name is impossible, have to create a new entry.
9) Exclusion zones.
Sometimes linking exclusion zones to asteroid fields works, sometimes it doesn't.
Haven't figured out what causes that.
10) There are some particles/items that don't exist, or don't work, tracking them down, to eliminate CTD's is difficult, shouldn't they be removed from FLE?
11) Combination POP zones would be nice.
In FL there are several "single_base_law, jumpgate" and "single_base_unlaw, wormhole" types of pop zones.
12) POP zone comments/names.
There is an entry for naming the Zone, but it doesn't show up in the System's INI file.
Makes editing the "single_base_law, jumpgate" and other entries hard to do.
13) Zone/Field comments.
While the name's for fields do show up, any comments do not.
Overlapping, similarly named fields, become confusing without the comments.
Now that I've said all of that, I'd like to say that I love the program, and that I realize that adding, or changing these things may be nigh on to impossible, but if they can be, it would be very helpful.

I have a problem that I don't understand. I have added some new NPCs to a bar, this wasn' t a problem. But then, I have added a new station. For that I used a base template. The characters like the barkeeper, the shipdealer etc. are there, I added only some NPCs to the bar. When I start Freelancer, the barkeeper is there, but there aren't the NPCs which sit there around.

I had downloaded this latest FE, and found that this program won't regonise my Freelancer Installed directory... H:/Freelancer The program says.. "Can't open file : C:\\EXE\FREELANCER.INI" Now that's the WRONG directory it found... say that the latest will detect the registry.. but... explain this and how i fix it.. I have no idea... Thank!!!
