anyone able to give me a link to a tutorial on keeping the poly count down without sacrificing looks?, using milkshape at the moment but have access to better programs at work ( i hope - need to talk nice to me manager ).

as you can guess im a total noob at modeling and would probably respond best to words of two sylables or less ;-)

hey all,

IGx89 - i finally got some webspace so if you want any mods hosted give me a shout - got about 20 meg to play with at the moment ;-D . now to set up a basic page ( this has bin a week of firsts for me so far ;-)

i got a problem, everytime i try to install a ship or weapons mod with FLMM it sais Error: Unable to find a section in 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\data\equipment\market_misc.ini' or somethin like that, anyone know how to fix it?

Does it say anything about access denied? Does the file end in *.flmmbak? Have you modified that particular ini file?

IGx89-I installed it, works like a charm, except for 1 thing: the Nomad Battleship from Genius has no thruster, so I am helplessly drifting around.... is there a fix for this? thanks!

Error: problem activating 'the TIE pack' on test run
Error: Unable to find a section in 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\data\equipment\market_ships.ini'

thats all it said when i tried to install the tie fighter pack, and thats what it does for all other ships mods, and for weapons its equipment.ini. i havnt modified any ini files either

qAPLAh: try re-downloading that mod. I just tested it out, and it worked fine for me. In a few days I'll be uploading an updated version of that mod, with non-buggy turning and faster engines.

Qefucan: Could you e-mail me that ini file? (preferrably compressed) That will help me figure out your problem.

Is there a possibilily to ad more than one mod into FL at the same time? I know that is possible with the speedup mod, and a ship-addon..

but what i mean is that several ship mods can be added at the same time... Like the klingong cruizer, the starwars mod, etc...

is that something to come for the future?? or is that technically impossible???

and if that is not possible, how can i put ALL the ships into one pack??? (yeah... i am new at this.. )

CovieKiller: Yep, just extract it to "Program Files\Freelancer Mod Manager\mods\babylon5", with the directory structure like so: "\mods\babylon5\data\equipment"
ThyKing: That's not too hard to do. Open up both of the ship mods' mod scripts, move all the data sections into one script, and change the multiple market_xxxx.ini files to put one of the ship mods on a planet other than Manhattan (Li01_01). Look around in this forum for tutorials and such.

Can somebody please help me with this problem everytime i try to activate a mod i get this message. Can someone please help

Eagle: What operating system do you use? Did you have any other programs open while trying to activate a mod?
