Hitting either the A or D keys sends me in a left/right direction at 89speed, mouse look...well, doesn't look at all. I can't turn with any ammount of effort. Even goto won't let me ship turn. Oh, and S doesn't let me decellerate either...I'm basically on a collosion course with everything, lol At least I crashed into Maine in style!

This is what i get for not sleeping enough. The problem is with the strafe_force in the shiparch.ini. I was making a correction to the nudge_force and put the value in the strafe_force. I've corrected the values and incorporated engine sounds. The whole thing should work properly now. If not post a message with your problem and i'll work on it.

Great Mod, if i could launch from manhatten, but i get the message, Cant launch without Engine, and i dont see an thruster Location anywhere in the code , nor inside Game.



Maybe i copied some defect lines to .ini, maybe anyone can explain me where i can look for the error.

For price changing, look in the affected goods file and look for the line labeled PRICE (duh). Make the changes there. As for the engine, look in the goods section. Check to see if you have the line:
addon = ge_obat_engine_01
If you do, look in the engine_equip.ini to see if you have properly placed the engine info that was listed in step 5.

I've made some experiments with the battleship and i think i may have come across the secret to make it a moblie dockable base. Upon finishing for playability, i need someone with MP connections to test it out with a friend since my line is too slow to play it over MP. Also, i've made some really great innovations with beam weapons on the battleship but i've nowhere to post it for viewing. Can anyone inform me of the address of an already ready site where i can post it? Or if you want, tell me about it and i'll email it to you.

this setting only seems to adjust the strafing to a point of it moving sideways like a fighter, but for no particular reason.

The turning ability with mouse is still really slow.


also the sounds still wont work with the latest setting.

No engine sounds you mean? Funny, I've got the same settings and if i close all audio except sfx and up the volume i can hear it. I'll take a look at it later for comparisons in case i made a mistake. And by the way, the docking settings are almost complete. I just need to clean it up and send it to a tester. Would you be interested IGx89?

after flying around w/ the Osiris and wreaking havoc among all who dare to enter the range of my wrath (sounds stupid, doesnt it? *gg*) i have to say some things:

1. the defensive turrets should fire at a max rate of 4.00 that would look even kewler i think.

2. the offensive turrets should consume more energy than everything else. in fact they should be the only weapon on the battleship to eat up energy. i thought 2 myself: this is a goddamn battleship. it should have enough power to sustain a fire for several hours (at least with those small guns). and it has such a supply of missiles that it would be useless to let the launchers need ammo. also thought that the energy requirements of the main guns could be the reloading time of them, instead of energy supply (here is where ur fantasy starts to engage its cruise engine *g*).

3. the offensive turrets shouldnt be turrets. fixed hardpoints, forward firin arc, thats ok. but turrets are a bit too off balance, i think.

4. how bout adding two more guns? C9 should do.

5. is there any way to prevent this thing from docking to planets? just think of the mass it has, and the thursters it would require to lift it up again. not to mention about the landing pod...how about allowing it only to dock at shipyards? this would come in handy for mp. 1 flyin the BB, one a freighter, some fighters, the freighter carries the cargo from the BB to station/planet/whatever.

6. is there any chance to allow other players to dock on the ship? could be a nice feature.

7. wanderer, u did a great job. the points i mentioned above are only the things i would change if i could. but since i cannot *g* i got to post this here.

again, thanks to all the modding gods out there. keep up the work to supply us humble players with more stuff to do.


- is there something beyond lvl 38 and a vhf? we'll see....

I've added this into FL and with a few adjustments it works great (mostly).

Is it just me or are there no turret graphics on the ship? I mean the guns all fire and work as they're suppose to.. I just see no turret graphics.

Not a real problem really.. would just look much better with really big guns.
