Great job on this Wanderer. I will be trying it out later on today.

Does the file you sent me have the shield hardpoint fix?

For those of you who don't know how to mod, I have posted the mod no my website for download. You **MUST** have IGx89's FL mod manager to use this mod. Later versions of the mod manager will probobly include this file so check the Fl mod manager thread for the latest info.

Hey wanderer,
I haven't had a chance to try the battleship yet but I was just talking to someone who said that whenever he tried to shot the guns that his game would crash and then his computer would reboot. He was useing the file that he got from my site. I don't know if anyone else is having this problem but it might need to be looked into.

Yes, I downloaded this mod from your web-site and started it everthing was fine until i wanted to see what the guns look like, then it crashed to desktop (didnt reboot) i started it again and fired the guns on hardpoints 1,2,3,4 and they shot just fine but when i tried to shoot the flak guns then it crashed.

Please have this fixed

Im not a modder but i love the mods that they make

Hmm... I've looked up the file and the beam weapons should work just fine. In the event that they don't, to all people experiencing these problems, please send me an email and i'll send you my personal files on this.

Well done wonderer but i'm sorry to say that your mooring isn't fix in your way. Let me help you in that. For the mooring to fix this is what you should do.

1.open shiparch.ini
change the "can_use_berths " to "can_use_med_moor "

**It is better to use medium moor than large moor cause using large moor sometimes will cause hang is you didn't press esc when the ship stop in cinematic but using medium moor your ship will always hit the hull and bounce back and try it again. So if you forget to press esc you can try again when the ship move back into mooring.****

2.open solararch.ini
find dock_ring then change the docking sphree from ring to jump
example:
change
docking_sphere = ring, HpDockMountA, 40, Sc_open dock a
docking_sphere = ring, HpDockMountB, 40, Sc_open dock b
to
docking_sphere = jump, HpDockMountA, 40, Sc_open dock a
docking_sphere = jump, HpDockMountB, 40, Sc_open dock b

**because the ring can't use medium moor, i have change it to jump so that all type of ship will be able to enter planet without problem. Even your battle ship**

That's all. I'm sure it is much more easy. I'll have to say thanks to wonderer and some other guys who is have forgotton his nickname cause without their guide i won't be able to understand all this.

The problem with medium_moor is that it doesn't take you into the station. Or are you saying you've made a way for it to do that?

Oh yes. Ive placed my exact file specs for the beam weapon on the tutorial. If it still crashes, try using the beam weapon tutorial around here for reference.

ya, you are right
but you can still get into the station when you press esc before the ship stop in the cinematic.

I edited all the ini files, now when i try to open FL it opens the FL server window. What did I do wrong?

Checked and running. I am expanding the mod tutorial to include your work as well as place three new weapons. It'll be ready in 10 mins. Check this thread then.

Thanks for the files Wnaderer. I will be trying them out later on today and send you a relpy by tommorw. Have you cracked the thing were you can dock to the battleship or launch from the battleship to land, yet? Do you need any more help with testing?

Hi, i don't tried this new version, my game has problems! So i can't figure out if the new docking system (med_moors) is automatically done or if you must press ESC in the cinematic sequence. Do you need also always to remove the docking ring collision file?

Wanderer, a suggestion, why you don't make a thread where you post all your experience with dockable battleships??? Also errors and so on! If you do, the modding community knows wath's going on and also who don't is a good modder (like me) can still figure out and try. This can help much, thanks!

Legend21084, the dock capable battleship has a number of problems that looks like it will prevent it from being practical enough to be ever released for public use. There are some crash possible areas where if your in the ship and it goes into another system or lands on a planet. Controls are also problematic. What i can do is fiddle around with the cargo hold/berth controls and find a way to open the doors to allow fighters in. You could do that now but you need to jettison cargo first. I suppose you could tractor it though. Staying with the ship will be hell though. That way you could still hide in the armor of the ship and recharge and later come out when your ready.

CHTEKK, yes you have to skip the docking sequence with ESC once it begins and yes you also have to rename the docking ring collision file. Thanks for bringing it up, i will update the tutorial to reflect that.
