I have a question relating to an existing mod, the No-HUD screencapture mod I've been using it to put together a clan recruitment film, and for some of the shots I require other players to take stage directions. Only problem is, the ID text is floating over them. Is there a way to alter the mod so NO text appears in the game at all? and while i'm at it, the bounding boxes around ships as well? Or failing that is there another screencapture mod out there that does that or has options to do that?

I have seen alot of possitions given when applying a base or planet, but i want to know, How do you know where, and, if they wont be over lapping something else, is there a program we download for for the possition's?
I have only read so far 8 pages in a day of this great Tutorial, so not sure if i have missed it, or if its up ahead, also i know that possitions on nav map, when your looking at the entire array of systems, outside of the system nav map might be different from those inside the systems nav map?
Would also like to know about a colours palet, same again not sure if i have past one or some thing? All i see is numbers, guess im such a newbie, need to know what the numbers represent for colours.

Is'nt altering the .EXE files against the law.
I read something that someone had posted saying "DO NOT TOUCH".
Or microsoft will sue the pants of ya, or shut down your server or both.
Im not sure if this person who posted the "DO NOT TOUCH" thread was on about Server mods, single player or both.
Thought i would give you the heads up just in case.

Hello! I'm am trying to find the file in which the GUARDIAN? weapon is in and want to change the refire and energy usage values. Also would there be anything I need to download to do this or not? I haven't done a lot of code changing but the stuff I have done has worked. Any help would be awesome!

Jayn3, you can install Freelancer SDK (found in the downloads section of this website) which will convert the .ini files to readable text. Then go into your Freelancer folder (Program Files/Microsoft Games/Freelancer by default) then Data, then Equipment. You'll see a file called weapon_equip.ini. You can find all the weapons in there.
My tutorial here will walk you through creating new weapons, you can also use the info there to help you edit weapons.

Hi wayyyyy back on page 1 you started a thread on how to create custom commodities. Did you finish the tutorial? I've searched and searched and propably searched right over it. I can add commodities and set the ids info and name but I haven't figured the msg_prefix it still uses silver. Do I even have to change this?

I want to change the starting ship juni gives me in SP to the Dromedary and change its cargo cap...Also is it possible to change the prices of commodities(I want to buy Cardamine at Mactan for really cheap and sell it at Manhattan for huge profits)

Hello starwolf0072003, I have a bit of Modding exp, just no 3d exp.
I am NOT a expert modder like Accushot or chips so I will only use their words and posts to answer your questions.
First off deactivate all MODS (if any are active)
1st question I want to change the starting ship juni gives me in SP to the Dromedary and change its cargo cap...
The second to last post on page one tells you how to get an eagle from juni instead of a starflyer, Just find the correct info for the Dromedary and you are good to go.
The cargo space question is answered on page two, the third post from accushot
Cargo capacity of the ship:
DATA/SHIPS/shiparch.ini
The data is in this file under "hold_size = " for each ship
This is a direct copy of his post.
I am unaware of the ids name of the ship, but fl-ids can tell you.
2nd question Also is it possible to change the prices of commodities
Ahh now this I am used too. You can use Freelancer Explorer to add a lot. this will be a MOD so insise your Freelancer Mod Mannager\MODS folder create a new folder called Cheapcardamine mod or whatever you want to name your MOD.
start freelancer explorer
it asks you if you want to open an exsisting mod Select YES then choose the mod name you just created.
Once Freelancer explorer starts you see the entire Sirius sector, right click on New York and choose edit, then a close-up of New York space is shown with all the bases and trade lanes. Right click on the Manhatten docking ring and choose edit commodities. Find Cardimine and choose the buy price. Make it what you want.
At the top left of the screen you see add, click it. and Move on too Mactan
I believe it is in the Mancheste rsystem I believe. And it's not open to you just yet. Repeat the steps from above but when you get to cardimine on Mactan make sure sell is selected and lower the sell price to 1. click add and then click file/add changes update mod and you get the message changes applied.
Exit start FLMM and activate your MOD. Then start freelancer and enjoy.

I would like to know if it is possible to create an entire planets rooms and cityscape that no-one has seen before? and is it possible to import a class of planet with a different set of texture? I am creating a mod but before I do I want to know what is possible ooops fell asleep.

So, how can I make my mods into those FLMM files, like you just have to double click them and they install themselves into the FLMM.

Ah, another question: Can you change the engines colors? With this I mean, changing the engine into another color - NOT replacing it with another.
Example: I got a BLUE cavalier engine on my ship, and I want it to GREEN.

1. All you do is use winzip to zip up your mod, then add .flmod as the file extension. Your mod will be called "mymodname.zip.flmod" - make sure you have your folder options set to show extensions and you won't have any problem.
2. I think you'd need to change the effect on the Cavalier engine to that of the Rheinland engine (or change the engine altogether). I don't think there's a color value anywhere that you can just change from blue to green for the Cavalier engine.

Hi,
i m trying to make own ships for a mod
i have done the moddeling and the texturing so far and tried to ad both ships to the manhatten dealer ( i edited the ini files to make them buyable but kept the original defender hardpoints, hitboxes and stats in general)
so when i buy my ship it has no textures on it. i see the weapons and the other stuff like engines correctly where it should be but no textures (both ships)
i made the texturing with Lithunwrap 3D and eimported it back to milkshape 3D
might there be a problem with this 2 programms ?
