how do i increase the length and thickness of the laser fired from the gun?

mega_cleva_tom,
Go to the FX folder and have a look and the beam_effects.ini...
that's where you change the characteristics of your beam projectiles.
Things like length, width and color.

You can make a "backup" copy of the original ini file and tuck that away in a safe place, just in case something goes wrong during your effects editing.

where do you find the prices for the ships coz i can't find them

find them in Goods.ini in equipment they are all there go ctrl f and type in li_elite
and its price will be with it ok you just search any name like ge_liner something like that the name of the ship in the shiparch entries search that and it will come up with the price there ok

to change a name you need to do some dll editing.

Hy guyz,

I have no idea to modding, but i just what to do one thing: to use an existing model of a ship and just write or paint something ( on top of the ship's skin). Please tell me ( if you can step-by-step) how to do it. thanks, thnx

I have a problem. I have moded the CSV so it can be pilitoble by players and everything works fine execet i cant get the cruise efect to work, in other words insted of charging the engine kinda flikkers and shirnks as if i have stopped.
So far i have tried a whole bunch of diffrent things and it still dosen't work.

I used to be a member here long ago. I understand how to mod to do what I want to do.
Just getting back into Freelancer again and was looking for a list of Planet id's
Seems the link is broken on the only one I can find here at this site.
Does anyone still have a list of planet/stations id's that I could have?

Wanting to go thru and put a list of the best weapons/mines/shields, ships, etc on Manhattan and Leeds so I can buy the best at those two places.

I seem to remember that these weapons were at the top of the list for best ones:

263532 "Nomad Energy Blaster"
263533 "Nomad Energy Cannon"
263164 "Sunslayer Torpedo Launcher" (where sold ? )
263151 "Cannonball Missile" (where sold ? )

A while ago i asked is it possible to make a commodity of fuel and use it in the engines but you can't but my question is:
how can you stop your power capacity stats returning to the full amount every time you land because you can just buy a capacitor every time you land
