Game Guide: Level 10 Weapons Locations/Stats

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

QUick Q:
Does the energy rating measure energy consumed per shot, or energy consumed per second?

Post Fri Mar 14, 2003 11:58 am

Since the energy bar goes down when you shoot, I can only assume it measures per shot and not per second.

The ripper mine can also be found in some outcast fighters near the unknown jumphole in omicron alpha (? the one where planet malta is, am too lazy to start the game to look up the name but you know what i mean)

For you people who can't get nomad weapons, most of the people on this forum seem to think that if you don't have a somewhat high lvl, 35 or so, they don't drop them as frequently. I'll agree because at lvl 28 (MP lvls are a pain, give someone money you dropped 8 lvls) I couldn't get anything, however once I ran some missions and got back up to 35 they started dropping them a lot more.

Oh and you can also buy the lvl10 EliteClass positron shield in Omnicron 41 on Corsair base Leon (D5). It seems a lot of people overlook leon for some reason. They also sell the titan. After playing with some of the other lvl 10 weapons I decided to just stick to the nomads, the damage on some of the others is great and all, but the energy drain when running just two of them is rather horrendous. The other fact of the matter is their slow refire rate as compared to nomad weapons(NOTE: generalization didn't try all lvl 10 weaps). As noted by someone else, its bets to have Weapons that are all the same speed, otherwise you have to lead the aim or lag it depending on what the majority of your weapons are to the faster weapon.

Go from Honshu to Sigma 19
From Sigma 19 to Omicron Beta
From Omicron Beta to Omicron Alpha
They are all at the top of the galaxy map.

Killem all... I dont care who sorts them out.

"Rate of Refire" refers a value X, where X is the number of times weapons Y can fire in time Z. Since we're unsure of what Z is; This unknown length of time could imply 1 second or 1 minute, which then implies that current weapon damage calculation (RoR * Dmg) isn't based on damage per length of time, but damage based on number of shots taken, a prediction of weapon destructivity if all shots S landed.

So lets compare the Cerebus and the Nomad in the duration of 1 shot. In this case the faster weapon (Nomad NRG Cannon) has a rate of 3.03. Lets assume the "Rate of Refire" is actually the "Rate of Recharge" in a STATIC time frame; The rate comparison between two weapons then can be examined on a SPECIFIC time line basis. So one unit of time is a staple for time, and the delimiter for when a weapon can fire (static point for when a weapon can fire).

In 3.03 units of recharge the Nomad fires once, then returns to a charge level of 0 upon release of the weapon.

Calculations Table :

Recycle point of weapons : 3.03

Assuming initial levels are 0.
Cerebus charge level : 0
Nomad charge level : 0

Lets now assume the Nomad charges up to 1 shot, which means 1 unit of time passes, which means the Cerebus is 3.03-2.00=1.03 charge levels away from it's first shot.
Nomad charge level : 3.03
Cerebus charge level : 2.00

Lets now assume both fires just as they reach maximum, and begins to recharge again; (This implies that the time it takes for a weapon to fire is negligible) (Note: the Cerebus does not fire since it has not reached 3.03, the staple for weapon fire capability in this experiment)
Nomad charge level : 0
Cerebus charge level : 2.00

As stated above, the charge level for the Cerebus to be enabled for fire is 1.03. The rate of recharge for the Cerebus relative to the Nomad is 2/3.03 . T*S=D (Time * Speed = Distance) So S=D/T, S=1.03/(2/3.03)=0.679868.

The rate of recharge of the Nomad relative to the Cerebus is 3.03/3.03. The time that the Cerebus took to enble fire is 0.679868. The extra fraction of recharge is T*S=D (Time * Speed = Distance) (3.03/3.03)*0.679868=0.679868.

Therefore the time the Cerebus unloads 1 round, the Nomad unloads 1.679868 rounds.

The Cerebus does
Hull : 1173
Shield : 586
Per shot

Nomad NRG Cannon
Hull : 847
Shield : 423
Per shot

Thus in 1 unit of time that passes:
Cerebus :
Hull : 1 * 1174=1173
Shield : 1 * 586=586
Nomad :
Hull : 1.679868 * 847=1422.848196
Shield : 1.679868 * 423=710.584164

Yes I understand there can not be a fraction of a round. The damage indicated is potential damage + actual damage of 1 shot between two weapons.

I just went through this list and noticed some minor inconsistencies:

Onyx - Sigma 13, C5 (left), Old Imperial Navy Fighter wreck

The Onyx was in the wreck at C4.

Diamondback - Sigma 13, C3-C4, Old Imperial Navy Fighter wrecks

..and the Diamondback was at C5 (left), exactly the place where the Onyx should have been supposedly according to this list.

This is an awesome list. Thanks for the information. The problem I'm faced with is a Turret for my Sabre (since its a forward turret it could come in handy). Think about adding the Best of the Best Turrets to that list along with the torpedos and Mines you already have listed?

Post Mon Mar 17, 2003 2:03 am

try the salamanca turret the corsairs have, cant remember where to get that though, it has the same refire rate and speed as the salamanca and its a lvl 9 turret

Post Mon Mar 17, 2003 2:16 am

Leon has that lvl 9 Turrent (Omnicron 41) Its decent.

Post Mon Mar 17, 2003 2:45 am

Yep you can buy the salamanca lvl9 turret at Leon Base in Omega 41 and it has almost the same stats as the lvl9 salamanca except 700m range and 700m/s speed.. so you might as well go wih the skyblaster b turret.

Hey... does anyone know if the Level 10 weapons respawn (in Multi-player)?
