Only faction I could see getting destroyed is Kusari, just because their cap-ships are REALLLY crappy, that and propably the corsairs as well. (Remember this is a leveling game, ofcourse higher-up ships are gona be tougher, why else make them purchasable at lvl 30+?! I'd be willing to speculate in a level battle field they are all actually about equal) The outcasts with their MOX planetary missiles might be able to hold the coalition off, but not for long.

(Rhineland, Bretonia, and Liberty all have "beam cruisers" that have a beam cannon-esqe weapon, and heavy turrets, the britts even have their battleship armed with two beam turrets, while kusari just has this "Liberty battleship + Rhineland Valkyre" looking thing that has no beam cannons not to mention their battle ships have no heavy turrets)

who's to say there even is a coalition anymore? After 800 years of oppresive rule, the government is bound to have collapsed. Just look at the Soviet union. It only lasted about 85 years. Do you think a government of that sort could last 800 years? I wouldn't think so.

Who is to say that their government was oppressive? I think that the main reason the USSR was taken as such an evil was because of its stark contrast to capitalism. Yes Stalin was if not worse as bad as Hitler but as the Soviet Union progressed the government wasnt so bad. Capitalists everywhere just didn't didn't think that two such different political philospies could co-exist. Either did the communist for that matter.

In the case of the coalition if they did drive out all of the capitalist then maybe communist would no longer have to focus all of their efforts of stopping the "capitalist encirclement" and put the government to good use.

Hey after all communism started out with good intentions.

Erm, I know for a fact that the communist government was oppresive..after all, I happen to have lived under a soviet controlled government for little less than half of my life. But I don't want to argue; my point is that alot can happen in 800 years. And the chances of there still being a Coalition after so many years is slim at best.

maswastage... read 1984 (by George Orwell) i think u may like it. and it shows how an oppressive gov't can live on though it just takes a very long time to set up. and also i think what top was refering to when he said "Who is to say that their government was oppressive?" was the Coalition and not the Soviet Union... i pretty sure we all agree the soviet gov't were assholes

Tats one heck of a picture, but don you feel ironic that in todays context, america and UK make up the coalation?

and i think that Sirius sector is definetly something the game developers overlooked when making the game, during the 100 years war between coalation and alliance, they only managed to go within and inhabit the planets withing the puny system, namely earth, pluto, mars, etc. and then when the colonist land in the sirus sector, boom and 800 years of REALLY MASSIVE TECHNOLOGICAL IMPROVEMENT could happen that allowed them to go after system by system, trully amazing

Speaking about oppressive, wouldn't it be ironic if the Coalition or whatever the Coalition became decided to invade Sirius as the "good guys"? Their reasoning: Sirius is a mess. For example, the so-called "Liberty" government practices a form of chattel slavery by keeping the Rogues around so they can have a steady supply of criminals to throw into the Texas prison factories.

Using forbidden technologies, the Nomads go back in time to send the Coalition to attack Sirius. You as the hero must go stop them. After much adventure, research, and inumerable dogfights, you discover that stopping the impending invasion depends on going back 400 years to influence the decision of one man:
