Actually i love the idea of helplessness such as in freespace 2.. You can never outgun the enemy only outrun them maybe.. I really like that Concept. It pushes you to your limits and survive on a acceptable odds..

there were 8 sleeper ships, and the other three launch from pluto not one of saturn's moons and were destroyed.
I'm betting on:-
1. France
2. Italy
3. Austraila, whole country on one ship

Malta - Island nation south of Italy
Vesuvius (moon of Malta) - Volcano on Sicily
Crete - Greek island south of the mainland
Kalhmera (moon of Crete) - Greek for "Good day/Hello"
Tripoli - Greek city on the island of Peloponnisos

And I'm pretty sure that if you check the history of the Corsairs from Planet Crete that it says Corsair has some kind of Greek reference.

The only Spanish references are in pilot names and in the name Hispania .

So, the Hispania is most likely Spanish, Greek and Italian all mixed together. The Italians and some Spaniards were left behind on the Hispania and were taken to Omicron Alpha, while the Greeks and other Spaniards got off at Onicron Gamma.

my idea is that the coalistion launched 3 sleeper ships after the Allince and all those ships were built from scratch and died on the way there....thus ending life to the Coalistion that is why there isnt no black ppl and that is why the coalistion didnt come after us!! and the coalistion didnt know where we are going for all we know they could have taken off all of the universe excpt the Sirus sector...

I think there are no black people because in the US/UK/Japan/Germany there are a smaller % of black people than white people, So over 800 years of interracial marriage it would be unlikely there are any pure black people left...

Geez, it's amazing what you can find when you're looking for it...

In the opening intro to the game, the 5 sleeper ships are launched and then make it out alive. But just before they activate their engines, 3 other ships, looking awfully similar to the sleeper ships, were blown up by the Coalition forces.

So maybe it's true.

The 3 ships getting blown up are actualy the coalition cruisers; you can tell by their shape.

Breakdown of Points:
Rumor- 8 ships launched from Pluto
Intro- 5 ships launched from a Jovian Moon

Either the rumor is wrong, and there only were five ships, or its correct and the developers had it in there to leave an end to be tied up in a sequel/addon.

My personal opinion is that there were 8 ships (rumors are rarely wrong and most of the time is information, not rumor). It makes sense, other countries in the Alliance would want their culture preserved, and there certainly is a lot more out there than the US, UK, Germany, Japan, and Latin countries. My guess would be France, Austrailia, and possibly a conglomerate ship bearing members of different cultures. It wouldnt surprise me if some of them were from around Russia. I know that Russia was a member of the Coalition, but that doesnt mean that every Soviet offspring country would be. China was a member of the Coalition, right (I never played StarLancer)? They have a system named after them, Chugoku, which in Japanese means China. Its fair to say that the Blood Dragons are of Chinese Descent.

Besides, the sleeper ships had to breakthrough a blockade. That would not have been easy, and loses (especially those of large, hulking ships, that carried the last hope of the Alliance) would be expected.

The Blood Dragons aren't Chinese. If you bother to read the info on the criminal bases, you'll see big long histories about them all.

The Blood Dragons are descendants of the Hideyoshi Royal Guard or whatever its proper name is (too lazy to check). They were forced to go into hiding after Samura Industries forced out Emperor Hideyoshi in the 5th century. Something like that. But they ain't Chinese.
