8 sleeper ship?
If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!
I think someone said there were 8 alliance houses in Starlancer, but I'm still clueless as to who the other 3 houses would be, I looked at the Starlancer official page and there's a french guy but the other characters come from the 5 houses in freelancer...I think Canada would be a cool house, they could have cool ships called the Moose, and they would have people from Bretonia and Liberty plus some dirty French Canadians, cool weapons like the Syrup launcher to clog engines and gun barrels
Ok I was on Malta and read the thing about 8 ships myself, even took a screenshot so NO ONE CAN CONTEST ME, I AM INFALLABLE (bonus points to anyone who points out the irony of that statement)

This shows the rumour, but it still doesn't say who was on the 3 other ships, I'm not giving up till i find out!

I've been thinking about the 8 sleeper ships, and i expect the others that were destroyed, (besides Hispania) were probably French, Russian, and Chinese. These three countires seem to have the most personality of any besides those already in the game. Canada would be pretty much just like Liberty/America, only in a suckier locale.
Hm One ship might have been called "The Iraq".. they have a good reason to flee.
Second one would have to be french, but they would not go with the rest of the free world, so god only knows where they ended up. Hopefully a blackhole.
The third one would have to be Canadian. The first 5 would need beer and hockey and it would be thier job to bring it out.
BTW the whole concept of sleeper ships.. it reminds me of a douglas adams book where 1 planet stuck a useless third of thier population into a big ship and told them thier world was doomed. Then the remaining two thirds stayed back and enjoyed themselves. Maybe thats what happened to earth. they are all still back there partying.

Ya, you know, you could just look up the history on the famous houses from StarLancer.
I mean we know that Mr German (you know, the guy who is like THE best pilot in StarLancer until, of course, you pass him) he's obviously from Rheinland House.
Then we have the Samurai's, thier obviously Kusari.
Next, the Tigers. Now seeing as how, their "United State's ish" (this is the squad you fly in, with your co pilot... MOOSE, (goose, top gun, haha, get it)
So the Tigers are from Liberty.
Now we have Bretonia, well thats not too hard, if I remember correctly there was a ship very similar to that name that the british in StarLancer controlled. Thus, the Bretonian's are the Brits from StarLancer.
Now for the Hispania. Obviously Hispania, refering to Hispanic. Now I dont know or remember and "Spanish" or "Mexico of Origion" people in StarLancer, but possibly the Hispania is just a break off of either the Liberty squads or the Britonia Squads. Im not sure.
But anyways, that only leaves us with a few more people to fish around for.
Really Im only matching up the ships to the nationalitys in StarLancer... but i am wondering along the way where exactly those 3 other ships come from?
StarLancer or WingCommander would be games to look for this information through. Or maybe someone could just go by a book? About this series and look that up *nods* that seems like a reasonable Idea.
Havn't you ever wanted to just TURN off that darned automated computer on your ship saying "Warning, Entering Atmosphere?" I mean cmon, I KNOW Im entering the Atmosphere. Thats the point isnt it?
Oh and Spaz... just because they dont SHOW it doesnt mean its not TRUE.
I mean cmon, they never SHOW the Nomads in the games intro, and yet you could have argued your heart away about how they ARNT real, up until you started fighting them.
Dont make an ass out of yourself son, thats our job

Yea playing Starlancer is probably the only way to figure it out...if someone in the forum has played Starlancer clue us in?
In the meantime I've decided that the other 3 must be:
The Italians (they couldn't have left the pope behind right)
The Canadians (going in for a long voyage into the cold emptiness of space adequately describes that country)
The French, who probably set their course in the exact opposite direction of everyone else's before getting blown up

Remember that in the Starlancer demo/trial this Japanese guy said that the French and Italian fleets had been destroyed? So two of those destroyed sleeper ships would (could) be French or Italian.
Then we have
U.S.A.
UK
Germany
Japan
Spain / Latin America
France*
Italy*
Still one missing though.... Maybe an United Arabian Sleep Ship or something
