8 sleeper ship?
If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!
The thing about the Nomads destroying SOL is null. It was the original idea for the intro, but it was cut out. That's why Freelancer makes no mention of their existence prior to the events in the missions. Notice they aren't in any but a few rumors. I think if they had destroyed SOL we would know about it.
As for the sleeper ships...has it occurred to any of you that since the game does identify these statements as RUMORS maybe it's not true?
As for who they could be, I don't know. Maybe the three main houses with the greatest population would need two ships. It's possible that they were to be launched shortly after the initial five. Maybe as a backup in case the first five were destroyed. It could even be that there were three launched before the Coalition blockaded the launch planet and the five we know of were launched in hopes that they could have the same luck. Perhap the first three were destroyed by the Coalition on their way to the lauch planet. Also, this is 800 years after they launched which means they probably have been a society for like 600 years at least. Over the course of six hundred years, it's likely that heritage has blended and people have forgotten parts of their history. Ya never know. It's the future. Anything is possible.
I would like to see he Coalition track us down and wage war and us fight them back to SOL and retake our galaxy. Then we'd have two. That would be cool. Probably be a two-disc game.

Thats the missing ship and if you want to know where to find it, it's here... Where is the wreck of The Hispania?
The wreck is in omicron alpha in sector 6D. By planet Malta.
What exactly happened?
OK. According to bar talk here is the full story:
There were 8 (yes sleeper ships that launched, the coalition blew up 3, and the other 5 weren't damaged and made there way to Solaris. The Hispania had a coalition sabature on-board and before it arrived was damaged, the crew woke up and argued on what to do. half left in the shuttles (the Corsairs) and half rode it till it ended up neer planet malta and took the remaning shuttles down to the planet (the Outcasts).
There are more in other forums thats where i got them, and yes there WAS 8 sleeper ships.
"
THIS MAKES PERFECT SENSE!!!!
Notice how the names of the Corsairs and Outcasts pilots are all "latin based"..Hispania...Hispanic....latin sounding names, it all pulls together.

<sigh> We all know that the Hispania is the'lost' sleeper ship. We all know that the corsairs abandoned the ship and the outcasts rode it till the end. But there has been no mention of the other three sleeper ships. If there were eight, wouldn't they have been mentioned in the intro? It clearly states "in desperation, the Alliance launched five sleeper ships." It is only logical that there are, in fact, five ships.

Stop and think for a minute.....
The intro clearly states there were 5 sleeper ships. But it also says that 800 years passed. Isn't there a possibility that the other 3 sleeper ships were omitted simply because they were FORGOTTEN? A lot can happen in 800 years, and a lot DID happen (Wars between Rheinland and Kusari, for example). History and facts have a way of getting twisted when so much time passes and so many wars have been fought. Just my two cents on the topic.
BTW... Can anyone give me a detailed description on how to find the Hispania wreckage? I currently have no idea how to get there. Thanks.

F/A-18 Hornet, the wreck is orbiting Planet Malta, the Outcast homebase.
I don't want to spoil it for you too much, but you can get details in the sticky Rep-Hack thread or by doing a search of this spoiler forum, if you really want to.
I'd advise being at least neutral with the Outcasts before visiting, and ensuring that your ship is well maintained/stocked.
