hi. i'm using datastorm pack and found something interesting - on north-eastern side of map there are some lines - they indicate Omicron Major and Minor. And that's with Jump Hole from Omicron Beta. But I've flown every sector of OBeta and didn't find a way to Omicron Minor. So, what's in this all about??
NEW Version online
v2.2 R131 * FL DataStorm.mdb moved to Personal-Files\My Games\Freelancer\Accts\SinglePlayer and renamed to DataStorm.fl
That way the Mod-Manager from IGx89 v1.2+ and higher saves the MapData together with savegames and if u activate a new mod - FL DataStorm gets the new MapData automatically.
CLOSE FL DataStorm before you activate/deactivate a mod!

(In shipsarch.ini is a loot-commodity without count and there seems to be a prob in decrunchin another ini)

Just retested The Terra Empire MOD with newest FL-DS v3.1 - works fine

But something 'important' is missing:
When viewing the infos for a station, you can see the whole equipment selld on it. But when choosing a gun, turret or shield you only see its prize, name and description, but not its properties (like hitpoints, damage, powerusage).
You see it at the ships selled, but not at the equipment

Ok, I may be being very dense here since from the support/directions on the site said they were pretty easy, but I'm having trouble interpreting the commodities/traderuns information. Since there are no column headers or legends, I'm only partially understanding the information.
For instance; Cambridge research station:
On the # screen, the first line says
Commodities Buy prices
Alien Organisms 2000 / 1900
Now I know from personal experience that you can buy these from Ruiz Station for 100 and sell them for 2000, and the part about 1900 makes sense if that's the max profit you could obtain from selling this item there. However, it's not intuitive...it doesn't say where I should pick up these items to get the 1900... I only know this from personal experience...
For example, the next line says
Beryllium 60 / -60
What does this mean?
Also why are there only like 5 items listed in the Commodities Buy Prices?
Next, the Best Trades in System.
Beryllium Cambridge, Cardiff Mining Facility 144 / 84
The only thing I can figure out on this is that you could get 84 profit per unit if you sold Beryllium you were able to buy at 60...but where is this located? Do I need to check every station in the system?
I'm hoping by understanding the Best Trades in System, it will make the Best Trades Outside System more understandable too.
Then, finally when you click the $ and change to the Pricelist, it again shows like only 5 things the station will buy and a number after it that I have no idea where they got it from.
The lower portion of the section; Commodities Sell Prices appears to be a list of what the station sells...but again, has a second column that I have no idea what it represents.
I realize this thread has been dead for quite some time, but hopefully someone will see it soon that uses/has used this utility. I think it works great from what I can see so far, just would like some info or pointed towards a FAQ...something, heh...
