You want to feel old? Remember the first cartoon you ever saw. Mine was Roger Ramjet.

Any others remember this one? Circa 1965 I was 6 then. The also pushed the cereals too then,

lol. I believe my first cartoon was this little fella...

...he goes by the name of Bod (for the benefit of members outside of the UK)...circa 1975/76. I was 2

Second only to Fingermouse, The Flumps, Jamie & the Magic Torch and Chorlton & the Wheelies. All of which I have on DVD for days when my nephew and niece visit - pleasingly it amuses them as much as it did me.

Humm, a real doozey...would have been along the lines of:

Captain Caveman and the Teen Angels
Hong Kong Phooey
Penelope Pitstop and The AntHill Mob
Scoobey Doo
Top Cat
G-Force(as mentioned)

?FD: I would have thought you were older than that...shoorley Ramjet was not your first?(I know how that sounds but I'm not rewritin' it )

@id - aaaah, that'll be why I didn't get it, I've only seen it once...good movie though if I recall.

@taw - not the moomins surely? (hmmm...hang on...this conversation sounds mighty familiar...I think this is the bit where you curse at me and tell me that the moomins weren't czech )

@ id-
So- Phones or Troy Tempest? And who could forget the bongo drums as the 'alert' sound as the base slowly sank into the island!

Meet ya in the Relaxation Lounge

the Moomins were Norwegian. Hence why they have an Ibsen-like quality of surreal existentialism.

This is the Mole but you won't remember it, it ended before you were even born I think.

And as for Stingray, well, Atlanta was the hottie for me

awww you say the nicest things I'm feeling old at the moment, I'm 31 in 2 weeks time - I know its not old in the grand scheme of things, but for some reason becoming 30 something has made me start reassessing where I am at the mo.

Can anyone remember what that kids programme was called that was hosted by Christopher Biggins and set in a jungle?
