Welcome, to Fantasy Island!

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Welcome, to Fantasy Island!

I just got the first season DVD's of this show. I missed it and others of the era. Anyone else love the shows back then and think todays don't cut it?

Also, anyone else collect TV series sets? I have several. Airwolf, Magnum PI, Dukes of Hazzard, Dallas, Space Above and Beyond, Xena, STNG, Beast Wars, 21 Jumpstreet, Space: 1999, Tour of Duty, and Taws favorite, MacGyver

Dee plehhhhhn! Bohsssss. Dee plehhhhhnnnn!

Actually, I watched quite a few episodes of it. More than I care ot admit. The campiness of Herve Villecheuse (sp?) and Ricardo Montalban made the contrived nature of the show likeable.

OMG, I wish someone in syndicate TV would show the old Space:1999 episodes.
They were hokey, especially the first season, but they were cool- anyone remember the moonbase alpha model kit?

Gromit's uncle Freeway was in that a far as I recall.

Post Mon Dec 05, 2005 7:16 am

Aaah yes, that was Unc's first starring role...although, he couldn't take the limelight and soon got into the shady world of alcohol and dog biscuits. He was last seen in Crazy Like A Fox, but when that was axed he ended up in rehab for many a year. Poor fella. Could happen to anyone.

Heeeee's quite a guy

Sorry to hear that Grom, I had heared a rumour that your uncle had got a curl put in his tail and went to the "Babe" castings only to hit the swill a wee bit too early but I did not realise it had become so serious until now.

@FD: That is one seriously sad collection you have there, worse still I wathced every one of them. You would not happen to posess the entire original Columbo per chance?

Post Mon Dec 05, 2005 10:33 am

what's the connection between Columbo and Space:1999? a free copy of the pilot of Petrocelli to whoever gets the answer (and he still ain't finished that house!)

Id - ay fookin lurved Blake's 7. Mrs Taw happens to be a personal friend of Paul Darrow (didn't know that did you so ner ner ner ner) and that sort of is an element in how we met and got together way back when before Year Aleph... and I met Jacqueline Pearce when i was on'noliday in Falmouth once.
